!! i liked the bookshelf gadgets and drawer the most.

The only reason the dressers are coveted (or seem to be) based on the writeup and the comment, is because of the photography. bad photography when you're trying to sell something is the worst. i'm just worried that these dressers don't look as good as they seem to be in the photo where they're all styled up and the lighting plays up the vintageness.

I've been to 2 consecutive years of CABoom, and I think it gets better every year. I went to Dwell's event last year at the convention center and didn't find it interesting at all. I was expecting so much more.

In conclusion, CABoom seemed to be geared more towards the modern design consumer, whereas Dwell seemed to have mostly things relevant "to the trade". CABoom and "trade" things as well, but they also had a lot of furniture, accessories, and products.

I would bet on CABoom if I had to choose one, but who knows, maybe Dwell's upped their game.

i use del.icio.us bookmarks for bookmarking stuff on the web. i can access it from anywhere. for print ideas/inspiration out of magazines, i keep real notebooks that i paste them in. one notebook for fashion/nicethingstobuy/girlie stuff and another one for graphic design/print/product design/more masculine, asexual stuff. I add as needed.

There's a better answer than going to 2 separate showrooms. You can go to Jules Seltzer in West Hollywood. They are a furniture dealer and they have every task chair available in their showroom for you to try.
