Thanks for your help, everyone! I really appreciate it. Seems like the consensus is that it is the Lomonosov piece I mentioned.

I had to eat liquids and soft foods for about 2 weeks because I got a really bad case of dry socket (and I followed all the rules! sometimes they just crop up)

What I survived on was bolthouse farms protein & fruit juices, mashed potatoes, pudding, applesauce, soup, yogurt, broths, miso soup, and the occasional smoothie.

You'll do just fine! One piece of advice - if the pain is really bad, like so bad that it wakes you up, call your oral surgeon ASAP! Good luck!

Woah! I just dealt with a similar issue! We rent a house and got the OK to do renovations from the landlord if we kept it within a budget...so every dollar counts with our bathroom renovation and re-tiling the walls would take up a large chunk of that budget.

We had really awful vintage tiles on our bathroom walls that were yellowish with brown flecks...they looked dirty no matter what. We also had three handles like yours in our bathroom! What I ended up doing was getting one of Rustoleums tile & tub refinishing kits and redoing the tile. It was pretty labor intensive (although not as labor intensive as removing & retiling or refinishing the walls), but it looks GREAT now!

As far as the handles go, they're pretty easy to take out. Once I removed the handles, I filled the holes (I used a caulking, but you can use something like liquid steel, too). It turned out very well and I'm very happy with the current results...and the total price was about $30!!

Here's my before
And after the rustoleum facelift!

I HATE the space cadets...and what just kills me is that people in Minnesota don't really say "excuse me". They either just try to awkwardly slip by or they'll go to the trouble of turning around going all the way down the next aisle and then back to the original aisle to get around a person. This culture is all about not causing other people trouble or drawing attention to yourself, but COME ON! Manners make others around you comfortable! You'd make your mother ashamed!

Also, I hate stores where you have to bag your own groceries. I know it may sound lazy of me, I don't mind doing it, but I hate that there are only two little "lanes" to separate customers' groceries, and often times this can clog up the line and slow things down if the two people in front of you bought a lot of stuff. At least have a clerk there to help people out! I just feel so rushed to get out of there because other people are waiting!

I LOVE the Arizona print on the wall. Where is it from? I'm an AZ native that's been away for over 3 years and I miss the heck outta the valley! I'd love to hang some hometown art in my house!

I grew up in AZ, so I call it "soda". I moved to MN where everyone calls it "pop"....and they feel the need to correct me or ridicule me. It's a freaking beverage, and you know what I'm talking about! Get over it!

But on the note of being "correct", have any of you ever heard of a vodka pop or a pop jerk? No, It's a vodka soda and soda jerk. "Pop" is just an onomatopoeia ;)

oh please, I hope to never hear "put a fox on it"...Especially since I started a large japanese 9-tailed fox tattoo (kyubi no kitsune) late last year. I would be the ultimate "put a fox on it" :/

I think geekery - both housewares and clothing - is fine as long as it's well designed. I am a life-long star wars nerd. I wanted Star Wars elements in my home while decorating, but I didn't want it to be BLATANTLY Star Wars. I bought some Ralph McQuarrie prints and had them framed. They're gorgeous. I also have a couple AT-ATs scattered about. Little bits peek out here and there in nearly every room. I'm also a huge fan of Hello Kitty and Sailor Moon. Same thing - little subtle bits that aren't as commercially recognizable or take a second look to realize what it really is. That's just me...I think if you love it, go as "overboard" as you want!!

I can agree with some of the downsides of the produce, but after moving to the midwest from AZ....Sprouts would be a sight for sore eyes. Cub & Rainbow are dark, dingy, dirty, and keep expired groceries on the shelf...regularly. Produce is super expensive here, and no store that I have found has a bulk section that could even compare.

The thing that I REALLY miss about sprouts is their vitamin & natural health section. The staff was always incredibly informative, always had samples, and weren't "sales-y". Again, I can find similar products here, but they are much more expensive and no single store has such a variety & selection that sprouts does.

I like sManga & perfect viewer for my android tablet. sManga allows you to download directly from sites, so that if you don't have connection to a network, you can still use it. This came in super handy on my last flight! Perfect viewer is awesome because it works for any image - I download a lot of japanese fashion magazines, so this works perfectly!

I'm not surprised by the mother's diet thing...My mom was a vegetarian while she was pregnant with me, and as a kid I HATED meat. I would only eat chicken....well, super processed chicken. It was not hard for me to become a vegetarian when I was in 9th grade. I'm nearly 26 and don't miss it at all.

Love the design! I did quite a few glasses with "atomic starbursts" before I moved last year. Those return address labels that I always get from charities & my insurance company were soon to bee null & void. Instead of trashing them, they went to good use as etching stencils.

I would love some solutions for 45 storage. Everything I find for record storage is for the LP. And no, I cannot afford an Atocha cabinet...And yes, that is unfortunate.

I hacked a pandigital novel about two months ago and I love it. I started off with the initial firmware that pandigital has on their site, but I didn't like it. I then when to slatedroid and did some research on there, and found an even better firmware pack that one of the users created. It actually can access the marketplace, which most other firmware packs cannot.

Here's the forum I did most of my research on: http://www.slatedroid.com/index.php?/forum/58-pandigital-novel-firmware-development/

To answer Jason's question - I'm not sure how it compares to the rooted nook color, personally. I've heard that the issues of accessing the marketplace are similar. Keep in mind that ROOTING WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY!!! (sorry for the caps, it needed to be said!)

The picture on the pandigital is great, though. Since they mainly make digital picture frames, it's crisp and clear. I mainly bought it to read comics, manga, and downloaded Japanese fashion magazines. However, reading text through the nook and kindle apps is flawless.

Still not sure? You can't say no to the price...Here's what I did.

* Find the PDN advertised somewhere on sale (Kohl's and Radioshack puts them on sale all the time)

* Print out a bed, bath, and beyond 20% coupon. You can get one by signing up for their newsletter, even if you're already on it. Just sign up again.

* Bed, Bath and Beyond has had ongoing $20 or $30 rebates on the PDN. Check here for current offers: http://www.bedbathrebates.com

*Take the advertisement with the PDN to bed, bath, and beyond, buy the pandigital novel, present your 20% off coupon, and then submit your rebate.

After I combined all of those deals, I got mine for about $85 with tax. It's not the best, most mind blowing thing out there, but you won't find an android tablet for anywhere near as low as you can get this one.

I have several avocado plants that have dropped root from store bought avocados. They take a lot of time, though. I've found that a lot of people put the wrong side into the water. It happens....

I've had a lot of (unintentional) success with onions...the ones I forget about in the pantry and they start growing. I pop them in the ground outside and they create beautiful flowers that attract a lot of bees. I put them close to my garden so that the bees come and help pollinate.

I just got a pandigital novel from bed, bath and beyond. I adore it. I gave it some "help", though...I hacked it into a fully functioning android tablet! It was quite easy. I now have access to books from both the nook & kindle markets and apps from the android market.

What makes it even better is that I got it for less than $90. They price matched radio shack down to $139, then had a $30 rebate, and then a 20% off BB&B coupon. bing bong boom! Awesome.

Oh, I ADORE Venetia and all of NHK's programming. Honestly - NHK is one of the main reasons I keep my cable.

Semi-off topic - cool japan is my favorite show. They basically take foreigners that are living in japan and get their take on uniquely japanese things. Here's the site:

My cat protests loudly whenever I prevent him from stepping all over my laptop...then he tries about 50 more times....

When I went home over the holidays, I was flipping through skymall to look at all of the ridiculous stuff.

I found that. I got a good chuckle out of it - the photoshopped angry cat behind the screen is just priceless! It can be yours for $37.99!
