I feel foolish asking this question since I know those are well-known chandeliers--but who is the designer for them again? Making a note for my future place to get one!

This place is absolutely gorgeous, looks lived in, and has such personality. A great house tour!

Where is that horse print from? The place is amazing and is so well-balanced. Cannot believe there are two bedrooms!

AustinSarah--I get the joke, just don't think it's a particularly clever one or worth ruining the chair over. And what is the deal with Gossip Girl interior design posts. There are far more interesting interiors in movies and other shows to focus on than this terrible show. Why give it two posts (that I'm aware of--hard to miss as they are only a few posts apart)? Have you ever posted on 'House'? Title character's apartment is worth posting over and the hospital is the most aesthetically pleasing hospital ever created.

Ugly building and the plaza is an unusable wasteland. Bulldoze the whole place and build it into something that is good for Boston.

They ruin the chair.

I like the black trim on the windows with the white. I'd leave the house white until (like someone else suggested) it needs to be repainted. A kelly green or bright blue door would look great, and if you decide you don't like it, it's easier to repaint one door than an entire house. Good luck--adorable house!

I love this table--it's my bedside table right now too and I'm disappointed if they really don't make it anymore. Some great ideas to make it more interesting. I might check out the mirror option too!

I had original pine wood floors in an apartment and they were GORGEOUS. I am a proponent of painting most things that others would be horrified about--brick, wood furniture, most 'regular' hardwood floors. But what they covered up was probably much more striking than the white floors they ended up with.

Beautiful! Absolutely love it and it's so nice to see a place that mere mortals without a ton of money can accomplish on their own. Would totally love to live in your place. Where did you find the red chinese cabinet? Really great use of color.

Like others said--Hudson Bay Company--they are authentic. They are popular as horse blankets (special way of folding them in front with another blanker over it to secure). Got one for my horse, who ended up not needing it in the winter because he'd stay pretty warm with his lighter blanket.

It became my blanket throughout college and kept me very warm and cozy. If I were to get another one, it would be the classic striped one. They are great blankets.

Thank you Jaze! I'm proud to say I knew Jardin before :) Some of the others came back to me after your translation!

Paint the brick--find a color and pick two closely related shades. Like others said, realize that there will be maintenance involved. I personally don't like brick, and find some of the most beautiful brick homes to be the ones in DC in Georgetown that were painted white and are now chipping--absolutely gorgeous. Adorable house.

Well, my first reaction was that it was hideous, regardless of timeframe. I like clean lines, hence my (and many other's) liking of mid-century modern furniture. It was a reaction to something and had significance on so many levels as society changed. This is just a crappy piece of ugly furniture that, as chelc pointed out, looks like it belongs on the set of a horribly unfunny sitcom from the 90's. It's comical.

Thank you, chelc. The thing is hideous and totally dated.

Dogs LOVE horse poop. You'll end up with a pack of dogs living on your lawn if you try that. And no need to harm doggies--they don't understand lawns don't belong to them, so please don't put cayenne pepper or anything else irritating for them to get into. This post isn't the nicest I've seen on this website :(
