heeeeeey, who is this "amy way" the blog title speaks of? ahem. :)

i'm a dog trainer with three dogs of my own, and there's a BUNCH of tips i have for this problem. i won't list EVERYTHING, but one tip i give all my clients and use myself is empty water bottles (or soda, whatever bottles) - i put pieces of kibble in it and the dogs bat it around and chew the cap off to get it all out, plus they LOVE the sound of crunching them. even my deaf great dane goes to town on them without the excitement of the sound, she just loves the crunch. i have a huge bin under my bed full of empty water bottles, and they've started to figure out how to pull them out without my help, but it's totally okay cos they PUT THEM BACK for some reason. love my guys. that, and giving a dog raw bones (NEVER cooked - cooked bone splinters and can be dangerous for them to swallow) is the natural way to clean their teeth, the marrow in the bones is a ton of protein, plus it takes FOREVER to get all the marrow out, so it keeps them busy for a LONG TIME. plushies are great and all, but why not knock out dietary needs, dental hygiene needs, AND keep them busy? (just be wary that raw bones can be bloody. you can wipe the blood off or just never ever own carpet, like i do. ha.)

i have a friend that uses a full/queen size (not sure exactly which) daybed as a couch as well. he doesn't have it long/vertical like this, but rather horizontal like most other daybeds. it isn't obscenely long, still feels like a couch, and is a favorite camp-out for party guests. the back (side) of the "couch" has a bunch of large pillows, and he added a headboard onto it as well. the headboard gives you more of a back and makes it more couch-like than it would be without one. it works really well and actually looks good. i'd like to see some more beds like that - beds that pretend to be couches, but aren't sleeper sofas. daybedcouches!

woody allen, i am deeply saddened by your design choices. the wallpaper and fabric on the chairs/couches screams GRANDMA, and i was so much happier picturing you ageless :(

however, diane keaton is still such a babe, and i love her library.

i looked at a VERY similar apartment out when i was still living in chicago, minus the upgrades of course. this place needed a lot of work done, but it looks just like it. i love it!

that house on the left looks a LOT like this house on the east side, i think off of hollywood? i know it's not that house, but it looks just like one i viewed and was thinking about renting a few years ago. loooooooove austin.

This might not be too helpful, but my mother was bidding on a chair much like this on ebay a few days ago. It was green and had the nail heads and everything, though the back was button tufted. It's kind of a cop-out to just say "ebay", but it's what I have to do, too, to look for furniture that isn't ridiculously expensive...though some of it still is. Damn those ebay stores for catching on that vintage furniture of the modern variety are such hot items. Bah.
