I love my maidenhair fern, too, but I've actually had really good luck. Mine grows like a weed! Seriously, too -- I need to cut it back pretty drastically every two or three months. The Rains are Coming & the Ferns are Jazzed! |

For bottles and vases that have caked/dried stuff, grease, or some other film, put a small sprinkle of powdered dishwasher detergent inside, add water, then cover the top and shake it up. It works instantly. I just got a dishwasher, but even before that, I kept a small container of the detergent under my sink just for that use. 3 Quick Ways to Clean Glass Vases |

Looks gorgeous! Yeah, the original tile backsplash is darling, but that tile appears to be the countertop as well. If you've ever tried to roll out pie dough over grout...yuck. Not fun. I love original cabinets, too, but those clearly weren't well cared-for over the decades. Old drawers aren't charming if they're so uneven and sticky that you can't properly use them. The fabric is Marimekko "Brasilia." I got it on super discount (think $5/yard) at the Crate and Barrel Outlet. They're nothing more than a simple pocket curtain with rings clipped on at the top. The fabric is really gorgeous in person -- the ink used to print the flowers is metallic, so they are silver, gold, and bronze in person. Hello! Thanks for the compliments. Paint colors: The dining room is Majestic Blue on top and Tranquil Blue on the bottom (they're next to each other on the color card). The living room is Costal Fog -- I LOVE it. It's the perfect neutral. All paint is Benjamin Moore. Kelly's Andersonville ApartmentHouse Call | Apartment Therapy Chicago |

The strangest thing is that she's in a state of half-undress in all of the photos. She seems to have plenty of black pants in her closet - or does she only lounge in togas and scarves at home? And is that a large semi-nude painting of herself over her bed? Apparently painted by a 12 year-old? Odd. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Look!
