@kirjoh Shibas can get along with other dogs and cats if raised with them. Children, if they've been taught that the dog isn't a stuffed toy, are fine. I've had Shibas for nearly 20 years and with socialization, training and a great breeder, I've never had any problems. Daryl & Jenna's Playful Pad House Tour |

@dixie368 How rude! I wouldn't have blamed you if you had a word with her to not steal cookies from the other participants. Having children with you is not license to let them take whatever they want. Is There Cookie Swap Etiquette? |

I think that when you visit someone else's home, you should show respect for your hosts by asking whether shoes are off or on. Just because you are a guest doesn't entitle you to track in the contents of the street because you 'don't feel comfortable' not wearing shoes. Shoes On or Off in the Home? |

I really don't get the vitriol towards older people who take the time to dress up for Halloween. I can see not giving candy to people who don't bother to dress up - but if someone wants to put on a costume and go door-to-door for fun, why do you care? I think refusing to give candy to costumed people because they're over your arbitrarily set "acceptable age" is mean-spirited. The Halloween Porch Light Code |

Why should there be an age limit on trick or treating? If someone wants to take the time to dress up and go door-to-door, I think it's awesome, no matter how old they are. Adults and older children should be able to participate in Halloween trick-or-treating too. How To Deal with Trick or Treaters |

@Sleek1 Yes, they are different. Teacher-led prayer has no place in public schools for the simple fact that not everyone holds the same belief system or even has a belief in deities at all. Weekend Meditation: Blessings |

@Sleek1, if those were my children, I would have minded. You had no right to promote your personal religious beliefs to minors in your care. Weekend Meditation: Blessings |

I'll pause if someone says a blessing, but it had better be short and sweet - don't expect me to bow my head. I think it's in bad taste to ostentatiously pray when not everyone in the company adheres to your particular belief system. Weekend Meditation: Blessings |
