Hi guys- I should have clarified what I meant by green. I was imagining that one could reuse pipe scraps from another project for this purpose.

@Blandwagon --
It's certainly more of a "Farm Tour" than a House Tour. I also photographed the living room area, and the little store, which is located in the house. The family spends most of their time in the kitchen and outside. It's definitely a different type of tour, but I think it's a lot of fun. Particularly since the outside is "decorated" with the blue animal pens, cute little signs, the chicken coop and lots of animals! It's perfect for Outdoor Month! And nice to have something a little different.

@wc-canuck
I posted the best photos here, but if you look on the website for the barn--http://jewettbarn.com/index.html--the interior is painted in the strange (in my opinion) combination of pinkish red, yellow, blue, purple and green... I'd just prefer the interior to be a little less garish... but that's just my opinion and what I'd do if I had an extra $700,000 lying around!

@Klem- It tasted fresh and delicious. I wasn't 100% pleased with the bread texture. So if I did it again, I would go with Ina's recommendation to use a brioche or make sure that I was using stale bread. Everyone at the party I took it to, loved it, and I asked for serious feedback :)

Actually a search for the designer Alex Hellum doesn't bring up anything on Apartment Therapy, Decor8 or Design Sponge. It's a little telling though that you feel like you've seen it before...

It might be a cliche, but after watching this film: http://www.hbo.com/docs/programs/deathfactoryfarm/index.html, I no longer eat pork (or other meat) unless I know where it comes from. Once I saw what is really happening on these factory farms, I wanted nothing to do with them--swine flu or otherwise. While swine flu does not come from eating pork, I think this is good opportunity to reassess our support of factory farms. While I can afford to eat farm-raised meat, I've actually decided to eat vegetarian as much as possible. So while you can't get swine flu from pork, for me, there's a pretty good reason to not eat it.

Hi everyone!
Thanks for all your positive comments. (Kimber-I loved your Anthropologie comment. You're right on!)

It's been a big undertaking. I'm so anxious to open the hive this weekend and check and see how everything is going. I'll continue posting updates here, but will let you know if I do anything more in-depth for the die-hard bee crowd!
