We added a huge slider as the door to our boys room - This enables them to "reclaim" the extra space outside their room for hanging out - in our house, space is at a premium Inspiration: Fun & Unusual Interior Doors |

I'm telling you, Cararra Marble, which is beautiful, is not a good choice for a kitchen. I speak from experience. You can seal and reseal, polish etc.. it stains, chips (especially around the sink area) and eventually looks pretty flat. I think engineered stones are a great alternative. Biggest regret: Carerra Marble countertops, beautiful but not durable. They are soft and prone to chipping and cracking and prone to discoloration. Kitchen Renovations: Best Decisions & Biggest Regrets |

K the two things i think is missing from the bedroom cleanup list are dusting up high - where ceiling meets the wall - i have an extendible duster for cobwebs etc... and dusting under the bed - i dont know, i think its all about dust... No Excuses: Sleep In a Clean Bedroom Tonight |

I too, have nothing but white linens in the bedroom. However, I feel free to try color and pattern our kid's rooms (not really sure why). The daffodils duvet cover is really great - floral but with a nice graphic edge Bright & Colorful Bedding |

One of the most interesting sleeper sofas i have seen is the Doc Space Saving System by Clei Italy at Resource NY. This is a sofa that effortlessly converts to a bunk bed - pretty cool. http://furnitureseen.com/Modern-Furniture/New-York/Search-Result/Doc-Giulio-Manzoni/3/0/5013 Bedroom in a Minute: All About Sleeper Sofas |

we have three children who are now 17, 15 and 9. No matter how tough you are, they are going to spill something, somehow, somewhere. I have a Hans Wegner Chairs upholstered in white vinyl - has worked well for 17 years. I also have a very light tan upholstered sofa - in nothing special. It all works out and actually the condition of your upholstery will not be a major concern as look for colleges and dodge many of lifes bullets New Options for Kid-Friendly Upholstery |

I like the sofa the best - the randomness of the pattern makes it really interesting. Unconventional Upholstery |

I like the idea of the modern plates in varying sizes, but i guess I would like to see them hung in a more orderly pattern, in direct contrast to the plates themselves - otherwise its a little too much like a collision and the whole becomes a distraction away from the very interesting parts.
