We added a huge slider as the door to our boys room - This enables them to "reclaim" the extra space outside their room for hanging out - in our house, space is at a premium

Biggest regret: Carerra Marble countertops, beautiful but not durable. They are soft and prone to chipping and cracking and prone to discoloration.

love the wall and ceiling - plywood? against the white painted surfaces and what looks like a concrete floor

K the two things i think is missing from the bedroom cleanup list are dusting up high - where ceiling meets the wall - i have an extendible duster for cobwebs etc... and dusting under the bed - i dont know, i think its all about dust...

I too, have nothing but white linens in the bedroom. However, I feel free to try color and pattern our kid's rooms (not really sure why). The daffodils duvet cover is really great - floral but with a nice graphic edge

we have three children who are now 17, 15 and 9. No matter how tough you are, they are going to spill something, somehow, somewhere. I have a Hans Wegner Chairs upholstered in white vinyl - has worked well for 17 years. I also have a very light tan upholstered sofa - in nothing special. It all works out and actually the condition of your upholstery will not be a major concern as look for colleges and dodge many of lifes bullets

I like the sofa the best - the randomness of the pattern makes it really interesting.
