We don't know how close this entryway is to this house/apartment's living space. It could very well be close quarters so the entryway also works as an extension of their library storage space… and even if not, it still looks really good.

Anyone have tips for a tankless toilet that is continuously running? (It's a toilet like the kinds you find in public bathrooms. And it's not "flushing" - it's sorta like the sound a toilet makes when it's refilling after flushing, just constantly.) I've been living with it for a few months because I haven't been home on the weekend for my super to come over to fix it. Is it something I can do or do I need to bite the bullet, clear my schedule and call him?

I know you don't want it, but WHITE! White will be a perfect blank canvas for that blanket, plus any kind of art/accents you want to add. It'll really brighten up the room and put the focus on the bed.

All the "problems" noted by the first comment are just confused - this room was staged for pictures and there is no rule that everything must stay in its place once the baby arrives (or that you're not allowed to spend a day or two on a statement project that you adore). Those pillows and blankets will keep mom and baby cozy on the chair during late night feedings, the stuffed animals will be great playthings when baby starts to crawl, and the clothing rack will only be "dangerous" if baby is walking, destructive, and left unattended on the ground. Have more faith in these parents, please.

I think this space is sweet and imaginative. I get a Wes Anderson-y vibe but it's not over the top or TOO trendy - very nice :)

I like this! And I love how it sounds like a work in progress - getting it just how you like and tackling projects one-by-one is all the fun!

What a transformation! I especially love the bump out at the ceiling, which makes the shelving look almost recessed. Like it was meant to be there :) Very nice! And such a perfect shade of green.

Same here - don't care if this was a trend because it'll always be something I like. In small doses, and especially when combined with earthier items like leather and wood, gold/brass details like this look so special.

This is VERY VERY dark… and at first I resisted, but couldn't help fall in love with it. I think the colors are right, the furnishings are strong enough to stand up to the walls, and there's NO clutter to make it feel claustrophobic… so it really does feel like an antique, midnight sort of cocoon. I'm a fan :)

This is so great! You've really taken advantage of your home's quirks - the slanted ceilings and "weird" nooks that might cause people to overlook a place like this are really allowed to shine. I especially love your master bedroom "closets" and how your son's room feels almost dreamlike - his imagination must be so colorful with your influence :)

Wonderful wonderful space! I'm curious, if you are reading the comments - aside from Brooklyn Flea and eBay/Craigslist which you mention, do you have any favorite antique/thrift/vintage spots in NYC? I love your style and would love to branch out and try some new places!

@cmcinnyc ... it's Ikea, which is probably why it's all over the place! (If interested, it's the MASKROS pendant lamp.)

@adfsarahjkl - It's not identical, but try the Threshold Nolan Club Chair from Target. In the Camel color, it has a similar vibe and it's $199.99!

What about a source for the couch pillows?! Or are they homemade?

You got so very lucky with many of your "finds" - I'm impressed! Looks like such a happy home.
