My husband and I are already pretty bare bones. We watched a program on TV recently about ways to cut your expenses and just laughed the whole time because they had tips about ways to lower your monthly beauty salon bills, and to brown bag your lunch more often. Sure, you can take a dog in a car without a freak-out and play fetch on the beach and all that but I cannot figure out why anyone wants to follow a dog around and pick up turds twice a day. Plus they smell bad. I have never met a dog that doesn't smell bad. Cats rarely smell bad unless they are seriously ill. Oh man, our bed is too small for my husband and I yet we don't have the heart to ban our obese cat from our bed. I would sleep much better without him taking up so much room and waking us up by clawing us in the face at 4am for food. Apartment Therapy Chicago | Do You Let Your Pets Sleep In Your Bed? |

This post hits home for a lot of people, I think. It was the most interesting post to me of last week, anyway. People are seriously emotionally chained to their stuff, it should be obvious. The storage of all this stuff brings more anxiety than pleasure, overall, yet people cannot deal with getting rid of it.
