Really lovely space with loads of character, you have put together a fine collection of things. Does not have a sombre 'heavy' Art Deco/Nouveau look at all, a really fine balance, very well judged. Well done!!

yes, I think the "you know they adopted that dog because it matched their house" is an odd one. Dogs come in white, brown and black...which happens to be the dominant colors of most peoples homes. Really nice house however, really personal style mostly through the art selection. I worry about the sweeping and cleaning of the white floors, dunno if that is practical...but love the overall style, very cool.

I always find it strange that U.S comments always mention the 'lack of colour' in European homes as evidence that they are sterile and somehow staged. Whenever a post with some (California, Arizona etc) U.S home appears with clashing feature walls, tiles, primary coloured throws, plastic retro souvenirs, patterned upholstery and various other 'folky' accumulated junk, it gets comments of 'lived-in' 'cute' 'sigh...fearless use of colour' etc. To European eyes this type of home design looks like a romper room of an ADD child full of badly thought out random cheap tat. Therefore stop being so provincial. Just thought you would like to know what we all think, but normally are too polite to say it....but not me.

I presume the second photograph shows a miniature model/maquette of the cabinet (look at the pen and measure tape in proportion to it), otherwise 5k for something resembling tiny dolls house furniture is crazy. But hey it is a one-off piece! Really nice stylish design though :-)

I live here in Amsterdam, I see this everyweek, it's not unusual at all. You can even rent a bike from many places which has a large wooden tray (4x4 ft) attached to the front. Many times I have seen a mountain of household stuff (boxes, lamps etc) wobbling its way towards me on the street. I suppose the distances here are quite short and of course it's flaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!

Woops, I forgot to say "I'm Loving" the strip of mirror above the kitchen cabinets to enlarge the space, How clever is that!

Super nice, wow, it really shows a life-time of collecting. It's not cluttered, you have all the stuff you love around you every day and you can enjoy it on a daily basis. Lovely, lovely, lovely :-)

The "New" Apartment looks vomitous, shocking, tawdry and cheap. But it's no suprise when you see the two tanned old handbags, "designers" Simon and Thomas on their website. Talk about "Masque of the Red Death"
