These are are all basic, but so powerful. Just mastering ONE of these tips will work wonders. When going at it alone, people think they have to try a million new methods and then get stuck. I like the simplicity of these. They may sound obvious, but they work! Nice article.

Hey, Kacy here.
-As far as the poster goes, I had no idea it would stir up so much AT controversy. As far as my reasons for having it, see @Miami's Elaine's comment. I couldn't have said it better myself. We all want different things, yes? Should we feel so guilt ridden when we attract those? Does my personal view on abundance make me a bad person? I don't think so. I'll leave it at that.
-I couldn't agree more with the criticism of my small scale plants. I'm ready for a houseplant makeover. I need a tree! I also want to hang some Wooly Pockets perhaps in a line as a FB mantle. See http://www.woollypocket.com/.
-And yes, the above comment is a link to my terrarium how-to videos.
-I also have to agree that the place is a little bit choppy. I like to think of my home as more "Domino", less "Met Home." I'll get to Met Home one day.
-@Shaunon, it is a Saarinen side table by Knoll. You can purchase at DWR

I've been sleeping on buckwheat pillows for about 5 years now and will never go back. Mine are actually from a cheesy "as seen on tv" store in the mall. If I'm out of town and not with my pillow, I always wake up with a creak in my neck. I love how I can just push it up under my neck for instant support. I had a friend make my pillowcases out of an old batik, since the size is akward and small.

How about a good old classic Eames white eiffel chair: http://www.dwr.com/product/designers/d-g/charles-ray-eames/eames-molded-plastic-side-chair.do?sortby=ourPicks

Or, for a little tongue in cheek matchy-matchy, the Prince Charles chair: http://modernica.net/index.php?target=categories&category_id=44

Or, the CB2 Vapor chair: http://www.cb2.com/family.aspx?c=11021&f=4957 It's that Ghost-eque look, without the Ghost price tag or looking like a shameless knock off.

Individually, I'm not in love with any of the pieces, but somehow, this is possibly the most beautiful room I've ever seen.

Estonian design in the news? I love it! I'm proudly half Estonian and visited 5 years ago. Tallinn is Europe's best kept secret: great food, beer, spas, markets, and breathtakingly designed restaurants and hotels in medieval buildings. They really have lovely taste.

Love the balcony and your view. What I wouldn't give to have just a few square feet of outdoor space- makes the place feel not so small. Well done.

GenevaLand, the bed is from Muleh on 14th St. in DC
(via Craigslist). It is the Neo Primitive bed by Warisan in Indonesia. It is made from reclaimed teak.

The sconces on the wall are Nelson and can be found at www.modernica.net.
Glad you like them! I slept on a mattress on the floor for 3 years until I could have my dream bed. Well worth the wait.

Thank you to everyone for your comments! It makes me happy that it's been so well received.
Designporn, the panels are actually Thai. You can buy the exact same one at vivaterra.com, but years ago I stalked ebay until I found the exact same one for a fraction of the cost. It doesn't look like the seller is still on ebay, so just search for "Thai teak panel."

That live sized E.T. has got to be one of the coolest things I've seen on AT, and I've seen a LOT of cool things here. That little pool is just perfect. The floating flowers are lovely- so refreshingly not DC.

Lisa (Montreal), I agree! I organize offices in DC for a living and tell people that inevitably, their desks will see piles again. The trick is to have designated places for everything so that if you have 10 minutes to clean up, you can. It's also all about the hierarchy of storage: so many of us have taxes from 10 years ago in the drawers closest to us. You need what is most active in front of you, and actually living on the desktop. This can be done beautifully in so many ways. I also like to use file pockets on the wall in front of the desk. If you are out of sight out of mind like most everyone, don't force yourself to use a filing cabinet. In most cases these are only useful for archives, otherwise, they quickly become black holes.
