J & J - thanks for posting. You've got a lot of cool things in your home and I like that you've really done you're own thing. I'm not crazy about pastels as a home decor color choice but it provides for a fun tour. Question: where did you get those spooled ribbon holders that work with peg board? Never saw before and could really use. Thanks! Jason John's Hyper Saturated Home, Part 3 House Tour | Apartment Therapy New York |

I just discovered your post and I have to say that for me, this is the most uniquely creative space I've seen here on AT. I really admire your great eye and amongst all of the great things, the mural in the kids room is one of my favorites. Thanks for sharing. For some reason I'm always reluctant to post when my comment isn't in line with everyone else's, but someone has to be the first : ) Paul, great job on turning this place around in such a relatively short time, I'm sure it was a lot of work. My impression is that, first of all - this does indeed look like a professional did it, not for themselves, but rather for a client or a magazine. A by-product of that short timeline is that it does have a rather 'commercial' feel to it, which everyone else seems to like but me. I'm not sensing a lot of your individual or unique personality (which I'm sure you are ; ). It's not bland in the traditional sense of that word but I'm not getting a lot of soul that I see from many of the postings I enjoy here on AT. Thanks for sharing. Interesting place and a very fun tour. Thank you for sharing. I have to agree with Bonnie on the issue of so many folks complaining about dust!? It reminds me of as a child my Mom, who's 78 now, and when she and her girlfriends would get together and complain about dust. Looking back it seems OK for the 1950's & 60's but this day and age I'd think we'd all be liberated from this kind of mentality. I really like your bedroom quite a lot, and in particular that you didn't feel the need to place something directly above your bed. I think the absence of something there really enhances to over-all feel of the room. Apartment Therapy New York | Small Cool 2009: Antony's Controlled Scale Teeny-tiny Division #17 |

Even though I don't think this idea will fly, I'd like to throw it out there: why call out if an item is Eames or Sarrinen or any other highly ubiquitous and obvious design item? Give some credit to the educated and informed readers, I know an Eames chair when I see it and don't need someone pointing it out to me. As for the inexpensive knock-offs and if they are being used, it doesn't really matter, they both have a similiar impact on the over-all space and do not need to be so blatantly distuinguished. Apartment Therapy is about the entire living space and the over-all environments we create. Sure, all the individual pieces come together to make the whole but when folks/magazines etc are constantly calling out 'labels', especially for items that are so obvious, it appears more about their vanity at letting others know they can afford certain items than focusing on the over-all goal, impressions of the space.
