Tahini-Miso Dressing with garlic paired with a bit of hot sauce over a brown rice and steamed vegetables is a really great combination.

The idea is interesting, but I can't see enjoying this - I hate when my coleslaw gets warm.

Glad I'm not the only one who eats dinner in front of the TV! My BF and I always eat dinner together, but it's almost always at the coffee table. As a kid, we would almost always eat at the kitchen table, no TV, and when I have kids, I'd hope to have a similar rule in place.

My new apartment has a really tiny kitchen, which has been hard to adjust to from my last place where I had ample counter space, a huge oven/fridge, etc.

I find the best way to adjust to a smaller space is to keep it as clutter free as possible. I haven't achieved my perfect balance just yet, but I know it's possible. Having shelves, a little kitchen cart, etc. are also helpful.

If I'm on my own, I could eat stirfy every night. I'll mix it up and have noodles one night, rice the next or vary the sauce a little bit, but I never get tired of it. Since moving in with my boyfriend though, I tend to keep our meals as varied as possible (we'll take leftovers for lunch!).

I desperately want to hire someone to come in and do a big clean. I just moved in with my boyfriend and want things to be in order, but just don't have the energy to tackle it myself! I've never hired anyone in before, so I'm kind of going in blind. I've heard that some services are not terribly thorough...

I am about to take the plunge and officially move in with my boyfriend this weekend! This post has been really helpful - especially everyone's comments. I think it's easy/natural to want everything to be all sunshine and buttercups, but living with your partner can be hard sometimes... but I've found that we're a lot closer when we manage to work through the bumps along the road.

Now, if I could get him to pitch in more often with the dishes, my life would be perfect.

My mom makes a big pot of this in the winter and drinks it faithfully when she feels a cold coming on. It's pretty much all I drink when I'm sick now. Instead of honey, we sometimes use brown sugar. Simple, tasty and it works.

I've disassembled and re-assembled mine a couple of times now to move and it's never been a problem getting them back together - takes up way less space when they're taken apart so you'll save yourself a few trips.

I don't think having a non-smoking building is taking things too far at all - why shouldn't we be able to choose to live in a place that makes us happy and comfortable?

Anna, you may want to get an air purifier - it won't get rid of the smell but will eliminate any toxins. Paired with a nice scented candle, it might make things a little more bearable.
