Why not use a normal door like the one you have. You could mod it so you can replace the light with a screen in summer. Storm doors are thin so they will fit within the door frame. Yours is very thick which would allow you to use a normal door with normal hardware. It would maintain the look you have. I have enjoyed following you blog. Source for Simple Modern Storm Doors? Maybe I'm a pretty tough judge, but a lot of the DIY I see on this site looks like DIY. I'd like to see some that are more refined. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | 5 Real Life DIY's by Readers |

Like Christine said, it's the oil in the Spam doing the job. The problem is oils from food products go rancid and can cause your furniture/house to smell. I would stick to something like mineral oil, other oils meant for use on wood products. Apartment Therapy Chicago | What's Your Most Bizarre Household/Cleaning Secret? |

Wiring is not too hard as long as you keep the wire colors straight. I just moved a shower, which involved breaking the concrete floor and moving the plumbing over two feet. Now I have to move the toilet but Iâve been stalling. It connects to the main stack which means break out the floor and see how much of that has to be replaced, run to Home Depot, buy the stuff, and then replace it all before anyone needs to use the plumbing. I need the family to go out of town for a weekend. Apartment Therapy Chicago | Not Following Directions |
