We like to bring our own cutting board, knives and favorite frying pan up to the Cape. Even well equipped rentals can have dull knives or flimsy pans.

We have an Aquadis faucet in our kitchen (did a reno six years ago) and have had a couple of problems with it and have had parts sent at no charge (lifetime warranty). Of course, now I wonder if a kitchen faucet *should* have problems over the course of six years - but, at least we haven't had to pay to have it repaired.

I had a very hard time with brown. I wanted something like a camel's hair coat and got baby poop - I finally gave up (three samples) and painted the living room a coffee-with-milk shade.

I'd rather carry a key...I'm sorry but that lock is not attractive to me.

I like my utilitarian objects to be a little less design-y. Maybe it's me, but I don't think a toilet deserves this much attention.

Rules schmules (though they are always good to know), it's the linens in this post that I love!

I agree with the list- it's not a very imaginative list but for basic must-haves it's not bad.
