We did this in our kid's room. We had sheet metal cut to size at the store we bought it from, then put molding around all the sides so it wasn't sharp on the edges. We have lots of interesting magents to play with, but also we made a balls & pipes track with magnets in the track so we can move it all around. It has been hours of fun!
