How come none of these people who have these killer pads seem to have a TV or even a radio/stereo system to speak of. They had TV's and Stereos back in the 50's and 60's people. You can have them in your retro replicas too.

I love the idea of this company, a great DIY option. only problem I've encountered is that it is almost impossible to find a decent yet affordable solid wood flush cut door. Even an affordable fiberglass door is hard to find. HD and Lowes to not sell them!

This is one of the most expensive places I've come across.
A beat up Eames lounger for $2000. They price these old beat up pieces like they were works of art.

Pretty cool house, I too own a 1953 Ranch alittle smaller than yours at 900 sqft. My question though is about the vaulted ceiling and the over hangs with the down lights on your credenzas, I don't believe this was typical of ranch homes, did you take the ceiling up yourself? The long gray cross beam adds the perfect amount of architectural substance, but also makes me think the rooms where closed off before. My house is similar with a long load baring wall down the middle of the house like that.

Where did you get that nice white Arm chair with the expresso wood. I've been looking for something like that forever!

I bought my first house back in January. Its a 1952 ranch with a full basement and detached 2 car garage. I bought primarily for location. It needed/s alot of work, but I seen the potential for greatness when I first walked in. My Primary draw was the huge 9 pane picture window that is essentially the length of the living room. The kitchen has original white metal cabinets that just need to be refinished, they are yellowing and rusting in spots. But i thought, wow! You rarely see these kind of cabinets. Hard wood floors in the living and bedrooms.

Only real negatives is that it needs a slew of updates for the electrical and the bathroom totally needs redone as it has plastic wall tiles.

The electric fly swatter is the one of the coolest thing I have ever owned. I can not speak to version posted in this article, cause it only takes 2 AA batteries, the one brandish in my house takes 2 D batteries! It will zap mosquitos, flys, wasps, bees, and spiders. Basically anything that you can swipe out the air or on a wall. Win you zap something you know it cause it sounds just like a real bug zapper. It has so much power it actually fries the bugs if they get caught in the racket, while holding down the button. It will shock you if you touch it, only a small zap, enough to smart your finger for a few minutes. Have no idea where I got it from , it was a stocking stuffer for Xmas, but its Yellow and black in coloring.
