Not really a design choice but... in collage my future mother in law asked if we wanted my fiancée's rocking chair. We both said "no" because we both lived in dorm rooms and there was literally no space for it. A few years later I found the Herman Miller Plaque from the chair sitting in a drawer - and I thought "oh no." She had given the 1983 Eames molded plastic cushioned rocking chair (the kind they give to employees children when they are born) to Good Will. I thought she just had it in storage.

I had my red/green blue/yellow colorblind husband take the test. That was fun. He was basing some things off of dark to light..I think he scored around 80 something. Despite the score, he had the colors lined up in the generally the right direction.

I do wonder about the accuracy online - I took a physical version of this test & they had the test takers sit in a "tent" with a specific color balance. In the physical version (at a CMG meeting) I think I scored a 2. (You could never score a 1 because if you had one tile in the wrong spot, two tiles were actually swapped.)
I just took the online version very casually & quickly, with the sun glare hitting my monitor... and scored a 7.

Affordable, yet still-good restaurants. We do have some trendy restaurants 3 miles away from where we live, but I'll never eat there. (The quality doesn't justify the price.) I recently moved to my new location and I think I was a bit spoiled by the 4+ grocery stores (Including a Trader Joe's) within walking distance - most under a mile - from my old place. Why do we have only 2 Trader Joe's within the perimeter of Atlanta? (I previously lived in Chattanooga where the best grocery store was literally walmart...so I went from terrible to great to mediocre.) Long story short: grocery stores! And I hate to cook.

"...the artistic use of out-of-focus backlight to surround your subject." --->You may want to check your definition of Bokeh.
From Wikipedia: "Bokeh is the blur, or the aesthetic quality of the blur, in out-of-focus areas of an image. Sometimes bokeh is misleadingly defined as "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light.""

Atlanta (heart of Buckhead)
"1200 sq. feet" (we measured, its actually 1000)
Loft "2 bedroom" 2 bath, huge wall of windows, reclaimed hardwood floors, slightly dated kitchen - very unique for Atlanta.
2010: $1050 ... 2011: $1150 ... 2012: $1375

That $225/mo. increase was the kicker. $1375 is a nice mortgage for Atlanta.
I'd hate to move - I wanted this place to be our last rental before we build a house. Currently looking to rent a house or condo for more space. The rental market is going crazy here. A friend of a friend just bought a condo in Midtown because it would be cheaper than renting.

When I was ten, my grandparents moved from their home - I walked around the property, visited all the rooms.... but my last stop was the pantry. I loved the smell of my Grandmother's pantry. I knew that the fragrance was something I couldn't photograph or really take with me - so I just stood in there for a few minutes before we had to go.

"If you have a good tripod & you're careful, then you can avoid this barrel distortion."
I thought distortion came from the lens and the focal distance. Perhaps you mean a tripod can help ensure a level photograph.

Simple Tips From a Pro For Fine Tuning Your Photos

We have a Siberian (1yr. 9 months.) and just went on a 3 mile hike in the woods with her - she walked one quarter to one half of it. We carried her in a camping backpack for the other portion. (She's big enough to look out.)
She stayed on the trail & climbed on rocks up a little waterfall - the water didn't bother her.
We specifically tried to find a site that didn't allow dogs, but all the trails within a reasonable distance did. (All the dogs we encountered on our walk were off leash. "Oh, its not a problem, he's a nice dog" - said an owner of a dog with a choke collar.) Despite the dogs, we just picked up our cat and she was fine.
We had been working up to this since we received out cat at 3 months old. Baby steps: get her used to the harness, then the leash, walk around the halls of our loft, then the complex. We would carry her in the back pack around buckhead working up to an hour.
She was a little distracted with people we would encounter on walks, so walking out in a national park was perfect. Little distractions and lots of logs, rocks, and roots to explore.

I have a chaise as my main sofa (Kramfors - actually two) and they are just fine. Most visitors prefer the solid firm mattress of the chaise for over night stays.
I currently have them arranged like a sectional floating in the room (which is a little weird I admit). It does kind of feel like I have a portion of the back of one missing.

Two other camera holsters that have been around for a few years:

The Spider Holster $50

The Noah Camera Holster originally $98, now $30

I prefer the Crumpler Industry Disgrace neck strap. I've only seen men using the holsters - I would think the weight would hurt my hips.

Using the Fong dome takes more flash power fyi. Not necessarily a bad thing, but you'll go through more batteries. If you don't care about looks, you can make a fine "tupperware" diy version.
Also, a flip-it is an option as well. http://www.dembflashproducts.com/flipit/
Or just try bouncing or "fhoofing" - no gadgets necessary.
