Maxwell your post is so timely as I am wrestling with rebuilding my home destroyed by Sandy at the NJ shore. Just this weekend I was questioning whether I should just give up and sell because the rebuild will be taxing emotionally and financially and I am not sure I am up to the task. I realized it's because I am not feeling confident in my decisions because they are driven by emotions. I have to realize my house is essentially dead and the future home could potentially bring me more joy than I have had in the last 11 years if I just let go of the fear.

On a weekday, it's all about jumping out of bed and getting ready for work. While my hair is towel drying, I am packing up my bag for the day, doing dishes, picking out clothes to wear and then it's off to work. Sometimes, I walk 15 min to the subway instead of taking the nearby bus to relax a bit before getting to the office. On weekends, I love making a cup of Earl Grey and curling up with a book or magazine while everything around me is quiet.

Maxwell, while I am not a Martha fan, she had one tip that works for keeping duvet covers in place. Use minil binder clips at each corner. It may not be the most aesthetically pleasing look, but it works.

As for my problem with a bedroom, I wish I had one. I live in a studio!

Thank you for capturing the way I am feeling as we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving. Three weeks ago I lost my home in Hurricane Sandy and have spent all my time dealing with clean up, insurance and FEMA. I am emotionally and physically exhausted and the last thing I want to do is celebrate right now. I just want to be taken care of. However, I realize there are people worse off than me so I will try to remember that this holiday season and be more positive and caring toward others.

What a gorgeous restoration. I love the bathroom sink that was originally in the house. The one you have currently is exactly what I am looking for in my bathroom. Can you please tell me where you bought it? Please email me at: fromclutter2clarity@gmail.com.
Thank you.
