okay, is there a favorite natural toilet cleaner (or solid that goes in the tank) out there? we must have high-mineral content water, as our toilet bowls get grimy FAST. 7th gen is not great, and of course bleach works best, but i can't bear the fumes. any suggestions???

Oh man, i have to put in a plug for my neighborhood. We love love love bernal heights - has a nice chilled-out community feeling, it has a great main drag with good restaurants and shops, and it's within easy walking distance to the hip mission district and super quick access to the highways. it does have it's fair share of babies and dogs, but not as overwhelming as noe valley. prices vary enormously, start tracking craigs list when you get serious about moving.

on the topic of restaurant-style highchairs (LOVE the idea of painting them a bright color! adorable!) - do you need some sort of harness for infants? if so, do you know where to find one? my little one is nearly 6 mo, and i'm not sure she's ready to be in a chair like that with out some kind of support...
