My kitchen in The Fan district of Richmond is the size of my living room and bedroom, so it makes sense to use the space and keep it out of the other rooms. I'm really just thankful I don't have to go to the laundromat. I also use my Foosball table turned work table into a folding/sorting station. It's also nice to have 1 room dedicated to work and the rest of the apartment can echo relaxation.

I am obsessed with yard-sales. I always check Craigslist to find the best sales for things I'm looking for.

Also, the best signs have the date (sometimes we see signs that say "Yardsale Saturday!" but it was from 2 weeks ago), and a general address (2500 block of...)

i was thrilled to find my own dress form (which I keep dressed 100% of the time) on craigslist:



I intend on using it to work on sewing projects since it's just my size =)

Oh wow, $100? I feel like I got a steal on a size 8 Superior Dress form for $50 from CL just last week! (The Superior Skirt form is the one on the left) Mine is just like new though!

I LOVE my parents house! I would be tempted to buy it, I've always dreamed of the things I would do with its unique layout (walk right into the living room with vaulted ceilings and strange but perfect angles all abound). I'm not sure how I would feel about the useless city or the revolving neighbors though...

I use the corkboard (just a simple one with a frame) for my necklaces and earrings.
In my old apartment (with a black and white bedroom), I painted it white, then took a piece of lace and laid it over it, and then spray painted black over it, took the lace off, and wah-lah a nice lacey pattern.

In my current apartment I did a hot pink and yellow stripe using tape.

Then of course you lay out your necklaces and mark where and how many nails to hammer in, and you are all set.

Life is beautiful in my home through all the great people who come to share their thoughts and conversation while exchanging laughs over great food and drinks, in a warm and loving home that just exclaims that I live there!

Although I have a dog bed on my bedroom floor, my bulldogs prefer to sleep on a fun orange shaggy raggy rug instead, but really, its their nature to sleep anywhere, anytime over anything.
