Lazy photo crediting. If the photos were part of a tour, your link can and should say Apartment Therapy. If it's from another source, even if it was featured in an AT post, you should be linking to the original source. #6 is actually House Beautiful, #8 is Chicago Home + Garden, #9 is the blog Anything Pretty.

Two of my least favorite trends, rolled into one: word art and new crap made to look vintage. Pass!

You need some pattern in that room. Have fun with it! Urban Outfitters has bright patterned curtains that tend to be on the thinner side too, which will keep it light. Here are a few I like for your room. If they are too short, adding solid panels at the top or bottom is easy.

@tiffanyseattle so what? This FAMILY has some photos stuck on their frigdge, so what? That doesn't make them tacky heathens. I think being so rude makes YOU tacky, so I guess it all evens out.

@heirloom, I feel the same way about my 15 year old Olivia. At the time people were puzzled. They kept saying, "Like Olivia Newton John?" As if!

I've had that paint chip taped to my cabinets for 6 months. I think this is the nudge I needed to go get a couple of gallons and friggin paint them already. Thanks!

AT should have done the same thing with Ohdeedoh can that they did with the Kitchn - kept it as its own independent site. There is such a difference between people with kids and those who have no interest in them that it really doesn't make sense to roll it all up under the AT banner. Instead of a thoughtful discussion, the comments degenerate into "I don't care about this! Why is this on a design site! Wah wah wah!" I hope Maxwell et al will think about moving it back to Ohdeedoh.com and just occasionally highlighting a relevent article here on the main site, ala Kitchn.

The yard looks like a fabulous place for parties. Love the lights suspended over the seating area...I want to see a shot of it at night!

@sphynxmom I'm sorry sharing your beautiful kitchen reno here turned out to be such a negative experience. While I appreciate that AT doesn't require all comments to be positive (like some other sites) the nastiness and judgement that comes through sometimes can be hard to stomach. I am with the many other commenters who thought it was an amazing improvement, and that stove is killer!

There ALWAYS have to be the "it was better before" comments on every one of these posts and 9 times out of 10 I think they are wrong. This time I think they are INSANE. That arch was butt-ugly, the bricks were a horrible color, and it closed off the entire home. That's not historic charm, that's just tacky. Whoever said 70s Tex Mex restaurant was spot-on. Getting rid of it leaves a space that is sunny, beautiful and best of all - exactly what this family wanted.

....except it isn't available in the US. Some of the items (like the bedding in the first pic) can't ship outside of the UK.

Letdown.
