good luck finding wooden crates at a reasonable price--the trendiness (and scarcity of wood) has driven them nearly to extinction. even the guy at the liquor store said wineries always reuse them and they are "never for sale."

Personally, I do not like mid-century. Yes, it's beautiful, yes, it's classic--it's what I saw in every house growing up and it's boring. I don't understand why people are stuck on the same thing that's been 'hot' for the last sixty years.

not crazy about the rabbits. they seem happy (flop! explore!) but that doesn't really look like a safe environment for them---not to mention those baseboards look very tasty...

the problem with the "I can look anything up on the internet" ideology can be summed up in one phrase:

power outages.

The lazy method of closet decluttering: don't do laundry for a month, or two weeks, or however long it takes for you to get into the "things I only wear when I'm out of quarters" territory. Anything that's left in the closet, that you refuse to wear even though you're totally out of clothes, goes in the bin. Anything you wear reluctantly also goes in the bin. This won't help you if you totally lack personal style but it will help if you have a lot of clothes you don't wear because they don't fit or aren't emotionally comfortable.

CalinFrance: because when you pay for the cost of shipping and the difficulty you will have in locating anyone who will import them--it isn't half the price anymore. As far as I know there is only one, maybe two, companies that import Dutch bikes to the US. It's a shame companies like Batavus haven't caught on that they could make a lot of money exporting, but perhaps it's not worth it to them.

Plus ANT bikes are handmade in the US. Which is never a bad thing.
