There is no way I would ever put my child in one of those things. Just look at the crash test video. Consider the forces at work on that dummy's neck. The rotational movement is especially damaging.

Here in Norway the recommendation is to use a rear facing car seat with a five point harness until the age of 4.

Um...LitNerds family may well be European, but showering infrequently is not the norm in Europe. At least not here in Norway, where we definitely shower once a day.

As it happens, I'm on maternity leave at the moment, and now I really feel that the 36% tax I pay is worth it.

I think the reason our birthrate is not sustainable is because many Norwegian women, myself included, don't start having kids until they are in their thirties. I guess the thought of starting a family doesn't occur to us until we feel that we've done and seen enough, and are ready to settle down.

I love it, but to me it's not a two ingredient soup. I use a Paul Bocuse recipe that includes butter, good sea salt, crème fraiche and chervil
