Now that I am married i definitely am finding myself with less female friends and really miss that. I am in my late 40's, we don't have children and I agree that it has become more challenging to meet new people or potential friends when you are older and without children. I think we just get comfortable in our routines and it takes more energy to make new friends. I have put feelers out for volunteer opportunities and am hoping that will be a positive thing! I just want to quickly respond to comments based on the backsplash "dating" quickly. The design and backsplash was chosen for the client's and their unique taste. It really does reflect them & suit their love for bold and colorful design, and it fits in with the overall design scheme. So to many of you out there it might "date" quickly, my client's love the backsplash and that's what is most important to me as their designer! I just love this idea. I also appreciate how Andre thought out every detail, how to allow access to machines for repair, easy storage for laundry detergents and of course, xtra counter /shelf space for folding laundry. The chandelier is a Jim Misner, Light Opera Chandelier. Jim is a local Bay area lighting designer and does tons of custom designs from vintage and found objects.
