Wow, what a beautiful home. I love all the rooms, particularly the living room/dining area. I also love the garden - it looks beautiful and peaceful. Thank you for sharing!

If you purchase something in a jar, reuse it. We've saved several Classico pasta tomato sauce jars and use them as everyday juice/beer containers and those same jars are perfect for storing dried pasta, sugar, popcorn kernels, etc. No need to spend a fortune on new jars and these mason jars look great, too!

Throwing food away for a jar? Why not just eat the pickles than reuse the jar.

Get over yourself. She wasn't being mean, she just pointed it out. Nothing wrong with that.

I re-use those Classico pasta sauce mason jars (which we also use as drinking containers) and I make these salads for my partner. He just eats them right out of the jar, as he isn't fussy about every piece of vegetable doused in dressing. He loves them! Oh, and I usually add cabbage and beans towards the bottom and I make these salad jars the night before, so when he gets to eating it by lunchtime, the cabbage is pickled. I will make him some separate boiled eggs on the side - he loves those!

I think it's a beautiful home and I love how the rooms aren't overloaded with stuff. I adore your daughter's bed and love her room as it has a lovely, natural feel to it (almost Waldorf or Montessori) and it's not bombarded with crazy splotches of colour like so many children's rooms are.

Thank you for sharing.

Be careful of bed bugs. Picking up random pieces of furniture from random streets could bring bed bugs into your home, but if it's your next door neighbour, then likely it's pretty safe.

I love the blue, it really freshens up the kitchen. I think I'd pass on the mirror - I'm envisioning splatters on it from food and water.

If you want something to spray as a refresher just get a small spray bottle, fill have with fabric softener and the rest with water, give it a shake and, voila! It's a quick fix to freshening up your home before guests come. Remember to open the windows too.

I think it's good to let people know there are grammatical errors and such - oftentimes thelse mistakes are overlooked by accident. It's helpful and courteous to do so.

I've used the used fabric softener sheets on baseboard and found it useful, or I often just get a cloth, spray a bit of Method grapefruit scented spray and wipe the dust off. Smells great!
