This is pretty commonplace amongst my circle of friends and sadly, my own family. But when you set your standards and expectations for others so high and they don't meet them, you may become resentful. And if you are resentful, you may shut them out or throw your hands up altogether and stop inviting people over. And then you are alone. I've learned that the enjoyment of hosting and entertaining is not about THEM, it's about YOU. Set your expectations of others low, and enjoy the process itself. UNLESS YOUR PHONE IS ENCRYPTED OR PASSWORD PROTECTED I wouldn't store confidential information like SSNs, pictures of credit cards, or pictures of passport photos. If your phone is lost or stolen or hacked you may be in for a world of hurt relating to identity theft. I like the basic gray better. The room is still bright and airy that way, and the light countertops help of course. My Mom's laundry room is about that color purple and it feels like a dungeon. Hyllis should be mounted to the wall, I just assembled one on Wednesday and even after carefully adjusting all the screws to make sure all the sides are balanced it's still wobbly. I just purchased and assembled a hyllis shelving unit for my oddly spaced attic master bedroom. It holds twelve pairs of shoes, and is cheaper than any other shoe solution, plus it gives the space an industrial feel. Securing it into the wall studs or with anchors is a must.
