sarahld, mine's on the stove right now and I'm experiencing the same thing. I doubled the recipe, but not quite all of the spices, I wish I wouldn't have doubled the water!

Also, do people use those intheir homes? We use those types of carts in the library where I work.

I just tried Finch's Golden Wing this weekend, it was really good! I love all the microbreweries within such a close distance of Chicago!

I just made that cake (as cupcakes) for a BBQ recently, it is amazing! The frosting is absolutely fantastic also. I would recommend it to all!

I would seriously recommend the book "Pie" by Ken Haedrich, it is a great cookbook, just dedicated to all types of pie. His explanations for different recipes are easily understandable too. I have been cooking from it for more than 5 years, I LOVE PIE!! Here is the amazon link:

@burp I just read them! Some people clearly missed the part that he said the last 3 submissions were entertaining (not actual rules to live by necessarily).

I like them both, I find it very easy to make from scratch (I use the "like Panera microwave version) but I also enjoy boxed. I think there is a time and a place for each!

My mom will not drink anything at all while she is eating, I think I inherited a little of that from her, I only sip my water until I'm actually eating, then drink very little until I finish.

I eat breakfast every morning, usually within the first 30-45 minutes of waking up. If it's a morning I'm going for a run or doing yoga, I will wait until afterwards. I think it's completely crazy to not want to eat food in the morning, I don't wake up super hungry, but it's just part of my wake-up routine.

I have been trying to figure out what this is a picture of. I have even polled a few people at work about it. What is the red swirly chunk?

Not good. Looks really late 70's 80's to me. My parents had to rip a bunch of black cabinets out of their kitchen when they moved in and I always thought they were hideous.

In a slightly funny way, I inherited a lot of drinking accessories, since my grandparents had an amazing wet-bar. I have a great matching set of tiny port glasses and a variety of unmatched tumblers and other glasses that are perfect for mixed drinks. I think the hardest thing is that although I am not overly clumbsy, I have broken 1 or 2 glasses and it is SO MUCH more heart breaking when that happens.

I love using growlers, I live in Chicago too and I have purchased a growler in Indiana at a brewery and had it filled here at Goose Island, I can't wait to make a stop at Half Acre too. I love local beer!

I love that set of canisters so much that I got that flower pattern tattooed on my arm. I know that is extreme, but I love the simplicity of it. Also, I only have 2 out the set, when I was buying them I dropped one immediately. I will forever be on a hunt for others to match!

I only shower 3 times a week, obviously a little more if I am biking my 20 mile round trip commute. I also just use natural deoderant. I used to sweat through the antiperspirant I wore before, so I figured I might as well sweat through something less toxic. My husband has no problem telling me when I am stinky, and that is usually after my second long day of work. I have friends at work who would tell me otherwise, I'm not worried anymore about being stinky.
