Towards isn't wrong, clunky sounding for an American yes, but toward and towards are interchangeable. That said, this office is wholly uninteresting. There is so little going on creatively here I don't even know what to say.

@1952,Theres a bagillion solutions to your problem, but I just remodeled a smallish darkish full bath in my house, I did it with black slate subway tile too which could have made it feel even darker. I got 2 halogen wall fixtures for either side of the recessed med cabinet, and then 2 recessed fixtures on the ceiling one over the shower, and one over the main area of the bathroom all put on a 3 gang switch all with slide dimmers.

Odd to me. Its so bulky and heavy looking it seems off to my eyes that its just floating there.

Ivy was bad. This is just as bad if not worse. Just seems a little lazy to me. Ripping out and replacing tiles isn't that hard.

Ok...Random box with a lamp on it and an arrangement of tiny postcards on a giant blank wall... sooo...

If pulp fiction is vintage i am officially old.

A competent framing professional with experience with movie posters will know how to frame a poster (without dry mounting) and deal with the folds, the tears however are tears and will be dealt with as well as possible, but if its actually an old poster and not that pulp fiction poster consider it part of the character.

I'd recommend this lady: http://www.hollywoodposterframes.com/

Inside looks great, front looks great.. I totally dont get the wood wall in the back. I love mixing modern with old stuff and I LOVE the way the room opens completely up to the outside, Just seems like there could have been a better way to incorporate that feature with the house a little better. Just looks a little strange to me.

To imply that "rule" applies to all situations is totally absurd. It is in fact just one rather boring way to use color.

Wait.. why not put it over the fireplace? Sometimes it just makes sense.

Its nice and I'd love to have it in my house but it looks like its in a model home, doesn't look like anyone even lives there. No personality, eh?

Butcher block is so pretty, but I would live in constant fear of edge dings, big scratches etc.

@Chris- why not just wait til you return so whatever damage is done by the tenants won't be an issue since you're going to replace them anyway?
