Looks like the interiors of those McMansions in Orange County. Feels very suburban, except I'm sure the furniture is much more expensive. The kitchen, however, is very nice with those frames on the upper ledge. Also, the ceiling in that last photo is impressive as well.

Is there a specific name for these types of mirrored furniture? I've been noticing them a lot more lately. They don't look gaudy at all....some people sure are opinionated today.

What I love most about LA? People from all around the world move here to try to catch their big break, and at the same time, they add their talents and ideas into the mix. Just like the waiter at the restaurant down the street with stars in her eyes, many of us come here to make it big one day. This is a city of dreamers.
The palm trees (which aren't native to the region btw) and the weather is just an added bonus ;)

What drives me crazy? The 405 during rush hour

The Future? LA just needs to keep doing what it's doing. People love to hate LA, but I just think that it's built on stereotypes and perception. You'll figure out sooner or later that living here is NOT like an episode of the "The Hills"...

This post couldn't have come at a better time. There's a shoot going on down the street from my building (again!). If it's for a commercial, then it's not too bad because they'll be out of there quick, but movies are a different story. I couldn't even park on my street today or else it'll be towed. huh? Who's responsible for assigning the film permits and putting up tow-away signs? Aren't production companies more interested in filming outside of LA now anyways? Sure doesn't seem like it.

I remember seeing this on HGTV, the room looked to me like a Hampton's inspired beach house, very well done.

Also, if you have 1.9million dollars lying around, you can buy a loft he designed in The Broadway Hollywood building. Try googling to check it out. Such a dramatic space!

My tip for long international flights...In addition to your check-in, take a small carry-on luggage that can fit underneath the seat in front of you or in that compartment next to the window if you fly business class. It's so much easier than trying to get something in the overhead storage mid flight, especially if it's packed in tight.

wow, stunning. The facade reminds me of a university library, but it's still great design. It definately takes guts to build that in what looks like a traditional neighborhood.
