Apartment Therapy New York | NY Good Questions: How Can I Pimp Out My Nightstand?

My kitty loves my suitcases so this is a great idea. Of course, she already has a wicker bed, a round faux sheepskin, as well as the arm of the sofa and my entire bed, including both pillows but she can always use another perch.

Love the article about the paper bag....my own little furbaby's favorite toy!

If the original post was written by a Bo Concept employee, I wouldn't want to shop there. And, I'm in their "key" age group too....over 45!

I've been checking out their online catalog and was planning to go to visit the store since I thought I'd found just the sofa I wanted. But, I have a delightful sales person at Pottery Barn on Chestnut. She doesn't even make commission and she's been bending over backwards to help me, including scheduling a full hour of her time just for moi. I feel comfortable knowing that she'd be there for me if I were to have a problem with shipping or a product issue. I may just have to stick with my PB Squared sofa. Perhaps it's a little boring but I'll get it more quickly and I know what I'm getting. I won't be paying a fortune for white glove delivery either.

I do love the look of that 2 1/2 seat sofa with rester/chaise but you guys have thrown the fear of Satan into me! I don't want to end up in a sofa nightmare! I've worked in account management and customer service and hate shopping someplace that doesn't look after the customer.

Yikes! I guess I'll have to thank all of you for your posts. I was so excited after just checking out their online catalog. I have a small one bedroom garden apartment in San Francisco and when I saw their "Individi 2" units, they looked perfect. I could get a 2 1/2 seater sofa with a "rest" unit (chaise).

I had decided on the Pottery Barn Square sofa with an ottoman but the Bo Concept pieces had a nicer look and I'd get my long awaited "chaise" which seems like it would be more comfortable than an ottoman.

But, I have a wonderful sales person at my local Pottery Barn store so I'm very hesitant to purchase something from a Bo Concepts since I've read countless horrible reviews.

If anyone has any other suggestions, I'm open. I was hoping to spend under or around 2k for the sofa/ottoman. Thanks!

Apartment Therapy New York | Bo Concept: How Bad Is It?

I'm looking for a super comfy white/cream sofa for my small garden apartment in San Francisco. I haven't been to the store yet but I'm interested in their "Indivi 2" pieces. I like the idea of a 2 1/2 seater with the "resting unit". I really wanted a chaise (something to put my legs up on) but the ones at Pottery Barn are too big for my space.

I'd pretty much just decided on a PB Square sofa with an ottoman. Now, I'm wondering if a piece from Bo Concept would work better but I'm concerned about some of the comments about quality of goods and service. Any advice for me? I'd like to keep it under or around 2k. Thanks!

P.S. Also checking out their small tv units but I found another online site that has one that swivels for about the same price and good reviews. I think it's BDI.

It looks like it's gone! Darn! I do live in the marina district of San Francisco and this sofa it gorgeous! I have a small one bedroom and have been looking at Pottery Barn's PB Square which is completely boring next to this gorgeous sofa!

I love the mini chaise idea of it. I'm afraid to look for it now that I see that someone else mentioned it was $10K! Waaah! Why didn't I see this sooner? :(

If anyone knows where I can find a less expensive version....nancflys at aol dot com. Kathryn, you're probably right.....there must be a reason it was so low.

Samantha,

I'm also in San Francisco and searching for a sofa. I was considering Pottery Barn's PB Square but I'm definitely open for suggestions. I'd like to find something in white or cream and very comfy. I was wondering if the prices and quality of SF Sofas was comparable to PB's. If you'd like to email me, it's nancflys at aol dot com. I have a small one bedroom garden apartment so I don't want a really massive piece. Thanks in advance! :)

Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Good Questions: A Budget Small Sofa for this Space?
8/9/08 7:44 PM

Hi Platypus, I was just searching for European Living but couldn't find it online. I like the Box sofa from Living Divani and was just curious what it would cost to have it made and if it would work for my small ground floor apartment in San Francisco.

Sofa shopping is becoming a nightmare for me. I was considering the Pottery Barn Square but I'm just not sure if it's comfortable enough and worth the money. Thanks!

Lisa, I love your home! I'm also a San Francisco girl but I rent in the Marina. The artwork in your home is incredible and it pulls everything together so well.

You have the exact sofa that I'm looking for...including the color! Would you mind telling me where you found it? Someplace in San Francisco, I hope? I hope I'll own a place as lovely as yours someday. :) Thanks so much! Nancy
