I absolutely love the kitchen and the garden. well done on all the effort as well, terraced homes are amazingly difficult to renovate into an open-plan space. Sarah's Contemporary Color in London House Tour |

drooling over the anthropologie owl pencil holder and the wall calendar sticker. We (poor grad students) could use all the gifts you want to give us. Housewarming Gifts for Grad Students |

Most of those are a real no-no for me. But 4 and 10 I actually really like and have similar things at home. Being a renter who isn't allowed to drill holes in the wall....well you just get creative. I also use my bookshelf's top shelf to display art and there are always a couple of paintings on the entryway credenza. 10 Unconventional Ways to Hang Art |

I love this apartment. The touches of colour, the grey walls, the sense of masculine comfort it just exudes everywhere. It's a great man-apartment that shows a confident man that's settled in and who has devoted time to his surroundings without over-designing. Plus, nothing in there that looks like "I took kitchen cloths and made a pillow case" or "I let ink run on canvas and called it arty", Ricardo's Spin On Mid Century Nostalgia House Tour |

It´s also about making the kind of friends you want or like as well. Being a graduate student who´s closer to 30 than 20, I spend so much time with like-minded academic people in a work environment that I need friends that are not in any way related to the university. I´m about to move (again!) to another country in a couple of weeks and my plan is to find other expats, people from the gym and joining a language course always helps. The worst thing about making friends is all the time- investment that it requires. Finding Friendship at Every Stage of Your Life |
