Totally agree with the comment about her blog post being spacey . . .my god there are some pretty badly written things on the internet but that was pretty bad. Maybe some of the weird syntax and the random graphics that interrupted the text were meant to seem "artsy," but the whole thing just meandered all over the place. You'd expect something that's associated with a business to at least have better focus.

so many huge windows would make me feel like i was living in a fishbowl/museum exhibit . . .it's a very dramatic and stunning effect, but i'm not loving it for a house

i love bright pink and deep red together, because it is so unexpected, and you don't think it would work which makes it great when you see it done really well. my bed has hot pink sheets, and the comforter has a lot of brown and red, and i love it!

although as a college student who's kept her distance from alcohol, i'm always baffled and disheartened by people who seem to think that it's such an important part of socializing . . .

One piece of advice I'm so glad that I followed last year: go a lot bolder with your decor than you normally would, in order to balance out the ugly cinder block walls, tile floor, boring furniture, and fluorescent lighting. I'm not really a hot pink type of girl, but I loved my hot pink sheets paired with an awesome brown comforter that had lots of red and bits of aqua, yellow, and pink. Having bold eye-catching pieces really made the room seem less drab.

I know this is an age-old question, but any ideas on how to get posters to stick to cinder block? When even masses of duct tape fails, you know you're in trouble.
