I started shaving my legs at an absurdly young age (had an older sister that I tended to copy) and, though I started out with good ol' Barbasol, I haven't used a shaving agent of any kind regularly since the sixth grade. In fact, for years I shaved every single day and no one could figure out how I managed that AND taking such short showers. It's because I don't take the time to lather up! I just save shaving for last and, by then, my skin is all soft from the water and I just run the razor over my legs, zoom zoom zoom! And I never had a problem.

Every once in a blue moon someone will guilt me into using at least conditioner on them and, halfway through, I just think, "MAN this is too much work!!" So it's water for me!

Hooray! This place really is amazing and Darryl is always there, hopping about with info about the food, suggestions and general food-enthusiasm. This place is exactly what Arizona needed.

Eek!! My problem with your apartment is this:
If I were to live there, I would be forced to quit my job, cut all ties with family and friends and have my groceries delivered. Nothing would ever get done because I would spend all of my time wrapped in a blanket and lazing about. I have NEVER in my life wanted to nap in so many areas of one person's home.
Really. Your apartment is what I dream of when I am sick. I would sit in that chair, six blankets deep, sipping broth and popping vitamins, with a content smile plastered to my face despite the mucus. Ahhh...

...Although, if you want to buy my house so that I can leave:

Phoenix is AWESOME! You should live here.

Just so you know.

Oh my gosh! I knew what this house was before I even scrolled halfway down the picture! This house was an amazing and magical part of my childhood and I grew up DETERMINED to have a domed home. As an adult I was educating myself on energy efficient buidling design and felt like I won the freaking lottery when dome structures were mentioned...Childhood fantasy here I come!!

Thanks for the nostalgic heart-string-puller, sarahrae!

(and, no, I never had the guts to go up to the door...)

Hmmm...This might be the coziest looking bed I have ever seen.
Silly and weird, yes, but cozy as hell.

My husband's an engineer and I'm in the arts, so he's slowly learning to be creative about our space...But I'm SO not ready to take th training wheels off yet! The last word is mine, all the way!

Silly side note: President Harding once referred to a "return to normalcy" and was mocked without rest, since "normalcy" is not a word. Now I hear it constantly, and most people don't know it isn't proper English...

...This is the third time I've seen/heard "decider" this week...HeeHee...

Aw! Very cool...

...but I'm even more impressed by a teacher making visits to students' homes. If you're THAT kind of teacher, WHY are you doing anything else?!

About 82 times a year the husband and I find ourselves purging our home of STUFF. And it doesn't matter how much we give away, we somehow still have some seriously crammed closets.
It's depressing.

So, to prevent this, we have reverted to our 'Dear Santa' days and, the past few years, have made gift lists of the things we ACTUALLY need/want. We include a picture, a description and websites that offer the lowest possible price. It's less stressful for everyone and less, you know, in general.

On the flip side, we enjoy getting our loved ones experiences as gifts, like a fun skill class at the local community college or a membership to a yoga studio for my stressed out Mother-in-Law.

Also, I happen to like Hickory Farms. All of that cured meat and cheese...mmm. If HF made chairs, I'd eat those, too.

I would say that black would make that wall seem less closed and all up in your face, thus making the teeniness not as...well, all up in your face.

...I don't like things in my face.

I adore everything thisbeautifulmess suggested...Though I might do some kind of a fun roman shade, rather than a curtain, just to keep with the sleekness of the kitchen.

Oh, how I dream of the day when I can have a swing indoors.

I've never known why, when or how...all I know is that I want one.

I'm with Jeri-- my favorite "standby" is something edible.

During the holidays, I usually try to have an enormous amount of homemade cookies or candy on hand. And if I end up with left overs, I just toss it out for the Christmas dinner guests to graze on.

Also: it's cheaper...and delicious-er.

Everybody wins!

Aw, I made her cheese ball today!

Anyway, this book might be hy-freaking-sterical, but it's also CRAZY usefuland the recipes are magic. It really reminds you how fun entertaining can be (which is helpful if you're as highstrung as me), so if you don't own it...well, then, you should seriously reconsider that decision.

AH! I want chickens like people want children! Unfortunately, I live in the AZ desert, and I refuse to have any kind of an outdoor pet in this evil, evil sunpit. But we're looking to move to Chicago next year and then it's all chicken all the time!!!

They're so useful! And have you SEEN them walk? It's ridiculous.
I love it.

Our place is FULL of color and India-inspired design...though a friend once described it as "Dharma-and-Greg-meet-the-suburbs." (not totally sure what she meant, but when other people hear that, they say it makes sense).

My sister's has scary white walls and is more "Grandma's-house-meets-1993." Lots of fake ivy and window treatments stuffed with tissue paper.
