The Lomme bed costs about twice as much as my brand new car.

Being from Europe but having lived in the US for several years, the new Hovas series embodies a design more geared towards American customers I think. From my perspective, design elements like the visible legs are more European details, whereas the traditional American living room has a different look, maybe a little more on the cushiony, cozy side (?).
I have the Kramfors leather couch in dark brown and I love its sleek design. The new catalogue has not come out in Germany yet (it is due August 17th says the Ikea website). I will keep you updated on the Hovas series over here.

My mom once put a chunk of frozen butter on the fireplace to thaw. She forgot about it and it seeped into the air vents. It smelled like rancid butter every time we used the fireplace for years.

My best one has got to be the jar of honey that went all over (and into) my white kitchen cabinets when I was away for the weekend. When I returned I wondered what the dark fluid was on my white tile floor.

I have a husky as well and just for her (and for me too) I bought a leather couch (from the Ikea "Kramfors" line).
The hair doesn`t stick and I can just wipe it off with a dry cloth and if I didn`t catch a dirty paw, I can just wife it off with a camp cloth too.
There is nothing better than a nap with a dog next to you.
She is not allowed in bed though.
