I second a dinner at Quattro Leoni. It's fantastic and quite authentic. You also must have schiacciata while in Florence. It's a type of flat bread. Nearly any Forno (bakery) will have it. I had a basement apartment that flooded when the sewer drains backed up during a heavy storm - NEVER AGAIN! I came to Whiskers after the petfood scare in early 2007. I had been feeding her Nutro food and was worried that it wasn't the quality they claim. She has been healthier and has a much more beautiful coat since I changed her food to a holistic one. I have been generally pleased with the experience at Whiskers. The owners will lecture you about what kind of food and how often you should feed your cat. They are very much against leaving a bowl of dry food out 24/7. I'd love to feed my cat they way they suggest, but she will not touch wet food or raw meat (she came this way when I adopted her at over a year old) and my schedule doesn't allow for me to always be home at a set time in the morning, midday and evening. Nester, My cat has separation anxiety AND can be quite jealous of my boyfriend. She completely ruined my leather couch by peeing on it and has peed in other places in my apartment. I ended up buying a new couch and now keep it covered with plastic (currently using a heavy weight paint drop cloth) unless is being sat upon. Not the most beautiful way to keep the cat off the couch, but it does work! I'd like to get a removeable, fitted plastic cover for it eventually. I also learned the hard way by putting a coat on top of the plastic which she proceeded to pee on. Good luck!
