Except in the case of "critter wines" from Australia, I still use this. I also go in for bottles I find decorative and interesting. It can create a clutter issue unchecked, but in the short-term I enjoy some excellent wine!

FWIW, it is worth learning to read a wine label and figure out what all that means. The better you know the meanings, the more you'll get out of finding good wine with a pretty design.

I found something like this on Lifehacker, except that involved a daily surface cleaning including bathroom and kitchen surfaces. It works pretty well, but especially in my office stuff can still build up because some days you just need to let that 20 minutes go!

My husband and I are hardcore wireless users. Our entire household revolves around tech. Because of that, when we apartment hunt we follow strict guidelines to find the most tech-friendly places possible. No stucco: the chickenwire interferes with wireless signals. Nothing made before 1980: the wiring may damage our equipment. Nothing without a dishwasher: our relationship is much better with the task automated.

I live in Minneapolis and I'm thrilled to finally see something from another apartment dweller. Where is this - what neighborhood? Husband and I love our current place but want to get our hands on a loft if not a townhouse.

The scrubbing bubbles doesn't really work all that well. It did keep the ceiling from getting mold but that's all it really helped with.

Just a heads up - tomatos will not grow in a metal tin, but will end up decaying and dying. Their acid reacts badly to the metal.

That said, I've been picking up metal tins at the thrift store and drilling holes in them for my balcony garden. Except for that blip, they work great!

I'm actually working on shadow boxes for each of the major holidays - this way all I have to do is switch out the box, and if I'm feeling fancy at Christmas, I can string a few lights!

Speaking of, anyone know where I can get a six inch Christmas tree?

I definitely get rid of the ex's stuff, and after my divorce one of the key problems is that my ex REFUSED to give back or get rid of my stuff - even after I told him to get rid of it. It ended in an ugly scene where he dumped my stuff behind my old apartment on the day he knew I was moving in with my new boyfriend (now fiancee.)

I kind of believe the old stuff carries an old energy and it's easier to just get rid of it and start fresh, especially if I want to allow room for new and fresh things in my life.

One of the things I've learned after working with stevia for almost a decade: the Truvia is just as much processed junk as any other sweetener substitute.

The best way to get sweetness from the plant, without that awful bitter aftertaste, is to use it in leaf form only. Even powdering it releases a bitter taste.

I add the leaves to my coffee in the filter, or mix it in with teas. I'm still not satisfied with any uses for baking.

I have a nice recipe up on my blog that works for most stuff - it's dish soap, a small amount of alcohol (make sure you water the plant well before you do this), garlic, chili and a little lemongrass essential oil.

That said nothing gets off Japanese beetles. Baby godzillas, those little bastards.

I almost bought that river stones carpet, but I decided it was a)too heavy and b)I wouldn't like the texture beneath bare feet. Thinking about it now, likely it would have ended in Roomba tragedy anyway.
