This is a great idea! I would do this, and would actually enjoy the process (hint I'm not 13). I also had a great idea... I'm going to wrap an old bakers rack with it, and seal it somehow. hmmmm..... ideas.........

I'm afraid of dying, of being alone later in life.
I'm claustrophobic to a small degree. I can't stand closed doors and closed window curtains! It surprises me that so many of you feel the opposite!
I'm afraid of the dark, but not the night.
I'm afraid of heights, but only when standing on the edge of a precipice or something similar.
The idea of floating in the deep ocean freaks me out, and drowning. Both could probably be filed under claustrophobia and Acrophobia.

Does anyone shop at walmart? They carry spray paint and it's just sittin' on the shelf. Also, I work at an Arts and Crafts store, and our regular spray paint is not locked up. We also carry Liquitex brand spray paint which matches the Liquitex acrylic paint. They have some nice colors and I hear it is excellent. It is locked up because it's a little pricey.

sheez. I've never paid more than $750 in rent, which is what I am paying right now for a HUGE three bedroom house, with a large back deck and yard, a front room, breakfast nook... BUT this is Mississippi and nobody in their right mind would want to actually move here. We are planning on moving to Texas in the next year because, well, it sucks here. I really wanted to move to California( we went to SF for our honeymoon, and I fell in love!), but it's just too damn expensive!

I throw out many pallets at work weekly. Go behind any decent sized retail store and you will find them. I like the DIY pallet outdoor furniture the best. My husband made me a coffee table for the back porch that only cost about $25 dollars (four casters and some post wood).

@mizlandry, my master bathroom doesn't have a door, and the towel rod is broken (i rent), so I just put an 'over the door' towel rack on the inside of one of the bedroom doors.

I think the beard looks great! I'm biased, however. My (27 year old) husband has one, except his is waaay longer.

of course it's vandalism.... and art. that's the point. rebellion through art. (btw, the building's are abandoned, so what harm is really done? If it was a brand new building in use, I can see people getting upset, but abandoned, condmened...come on now.)

Eh, who cares? People are going to love/hate different styles. People are people, after all. Being an artist, and from a middle class family, I enjoy painting/altering thrift store finds for enjoyment and practicality. Do I expect everyone to like it? No. Do I do it for anyone other than myself? No. My favorite memories are thrifting with my mother (who is now deceased), and some of my favorite possessions are furniture she had painted or modified in some way. That being said, if you have the money and inclination, decorate your house however you like! Practical or not, it's your house, your taste, your decision! Who gives a rats @$% what anyone else thinks.

you guys are crazy. Obviously most of these people are farmers, and guess what, the best farmland is the land that historically has been flooded by the Mississippi River, before the leeves were built. It hasn't flooded like this since 1974, and this flooding has already broken that record! To admonish these people for living in a flood zone is stupid. Hrm, maybe people shouldn't live on fault lines, tornado alleys, hurricane paths, or anywhere with heavy snow. I think that would cover most of the U.S..
