@ ek76, I don't think it's about maximizing calorie burn - I think it's more about maximizing muscle & pushing toward fatigue. More muscle , more calories burned :)

I have a similar problem. I went with glass. It's unobtrusive yet functional, and unlike acrylic it doesn't scratch easily. I went with the Magnussen Lumeno Glass Rectangular Coffee Table with nesting tables. The coffee table I use for an "entertainment center", and the 2 nesting tables it comes with are my "coffee table".

yes, yes, we all could have thought of the binder clip. . . this person took the time to actually DESIGN something that none of us took, beside looking past the desktop we were sitting at at the time we say this blurb. . . be happy it adds another dimension to something you may already have :)
