They're all over Western Massachusetts, that's for sure. For awhile my friends and I tried to figure out if they were awarded or voluntary decoration. We decided they were "cute house" awards until we saw a not-so-cute house that had one. Oh well. No system is flawless. I find it amazing and a little silly that people get so easily worked up about this. Different neighborhoods are special to different people because we all have different interests. It's as simple as that. My sister feels safe and content in Harlem, and enjoys being in close proximity to lots of different attractions and resources. I am completely happy living in Southernmost Park Slope (according to article boundaries) and I always feel safe. I'm fine with traveling a little farther to resources because I'm so pleased with where I live. Who cares? Live where you want to live and enjoy it. Statistics are not a means to dictate happiness. We've been talking about hanging artwork in our bedroom for weeks. And we already have the artwork. We also rent, so there's only so much I can do... painting is mostly out of the question. The only duvet cover that I have is white and summery, but it stays on all winter because I refuse to let the bed sit naked. I have the same dilemma- so many are just too feminine. I have a small collection of interesting creamers, and a small collection of clear glass containers in a variety of shapes. I'm trying not to let either expand too much, because it'll just mean more to clean. I also use the creamers to house my jewelry on my dresser, so at least they're a useful collection. I have a hard time sleeping when my man is away. I like having his body there when I want a little more warmth than the blankets can give me.
