i'm aware of the aversion, but as a dweller in the teeniest bathroom evah, i like my little hairy beast. it's cotton, adds color, and gives me an actual place to sit and groom. a towel would be too slidey. i toss it in the wash along with the towels every week. and it's not like it's actively being peed on or anything. the lower lid is a barrier.

lovely! re: plants. i was told by a horticulturist recently to pick up a ZZ plant. he said they're the most low-light, low-water tolerating plants known to woman. i've also found most ivy plants quite fine with my bad-plant-mommy ways.

i have those knobs too--got them at anthropologie about a year ago.

before i saw it was a cake stand i thought it was a coffee table and those were REALLY big apples..... which i now want.

Weirdly, i'm dealing with this question right now. Here's what might be the real deal-breaker for me on the infinitely cheaper Dell--the USB ports are ON THE SIDE, smack middle of the frame. So crazy dangling wires, right? Does anyone have one who can tell me it's not as awful as I think it is? Because it pains me to pay for the Apple. But cords so out in the open may pain me more....
