lovelovelove - One of my cousins died because his head was caught between the rails of a crib. It's a real issue. Perhaps people can't appreciate design that while visually pleasing is completely unrealistic.

My first thought was about the safety of the crib, too. I'm not a huge fan of this room. I like the Target rug and the bedding, but the room itself feels disjointed and crowded. Too much stuff for the space. I really want to like it, but it kind of feels cold and unfinished.

Ditto Jane Little's and girlwithgreencard's comments.

When I first saw this advertised, there was no mention of the safety aspect. I think this was a late add-on to avoid having people theorize that it was just a promotion to slow down the resale market.

And I'm also bothered by the lack of information about what they're doing with the items. They could offer 20% to everyone, recyle the recalled items and DONATE the rest. Plenty of charities would take used items. Or, just offer the program for recalled items, if safety is what the program really is all about.

scottu - a few colors of the Nurseryworks rocker were on clearance about a month ago, but every time I tried to order one, they would mysteriously be out of stock.

I've already searched overstock and target -- and found Rug Design's rug, too. (Thanks though!) It is too much color for what I'm going for.

We have two dark haired dogs so darker will actually work better for us, and it also forces us to vacuum often.

Beautiful room, so cheerful. Is this the crib set from Walmart?

Keep looking, you're on the right track. If I remember correctly, this poster bought this rocker and had it recovered in the pink material. I looked on ebay and craigslist for this type of rocker for a while (though I'm now going a different direction) and they're definitely out there. I searched for "mid century" and found some that were almost identical on ebay. Many ebay sellers were willing to ship the rockers, too.

I'm fairly sure the 6th photo is actual wallpaper from Ballard Designs:

What's with the quotation marks around "real"? Are you implying that these bathrooms are fake?

I was going to agree with Pencil that it was Walmart furniture, but I googled Million Dollar Baby. This is interesting...

Walmart: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5983291&findingMethod=rr

I'm considering the Walmart dresser above with the Olivia crib: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=8810319. Aside from the shape of the legs, do they coordinate/woods match?

In case I wasn't clear, I'm looking for a runner to attach to the stairs, not an actual rug. The dogs are having major issues with the wood stairs in the narrow space and need some grip.

dewi - Not the literal pattern - I'm looking for something like that, with a similar airy feel. Definitely not green!

lbjmonkey - Almost the Broyhill tables. They're from Viva Terra.

pitchk - The TV stand was my big splurge from Matt Soorikian. I think the cost was around $1200.

I have the reclaimed coffee table from Viva Terra (slightly more expensive). It's beautiful.

How firm are these? Any idea what kind of stuffing you would use to get the right firmness and support? Thanks.
