"there are a few other east improvements that A Pumpkin and a Princess implemented that helped transform the room — can you spot them?"

Yes, every morning I wake up and walk into my bathroom and think, wow, daylight completely transforms this room!

I followed the links back it to the original blog. It appears that they turned another bathroom into a laundry room, and moved the washer and dryer there.

@Amandarh: People put AC units in their windows all the time (completely legal). To me this seems much more securely attached to the window. And you could water the plants while in vertical position and catch the water.

@ Terry in Silver Springs: The video shows that you can pull the "garden" up into a vertical position. I assume with some tweaking you could make sure the window closes while in the vertical position.

@Rusty Patina: I know there are many apartment dwellers who do not have access to a rooftop.

I Agree with Rose 123, I think this has a lot of potential.

I agree that it's about lack of space. (At least for me)

I do this as well. I agree with some of the feedback that as the drawer empties out there is the potential for the shirts to turn into a floppy half folded mess. Especially if you have the tendencies to go longer between laundry loads.

Adaptations: I found that this method worked better with shirts in shallower drawer. Shirts that are too thin get hung. If the drawer starts to get particularly empty I move all the shirts to the left, condensing them into one column. I always a few shirts that are out of season, so this seems to help.

I pin my socks together.

It saves time in the laundering process (I don't have to sort, pair, or fold.) I never lose a sock. And they wear out/fade at the same rate.

Seriously? This just looks like bad design to me. What purpose does that lopped off mattress corner serve?
