I just purchased a clock very similar to #1 from a salvage store in Baltimore and am currently trying to convert it to run on a battery instead of being hardwired. Any hints on how to do this would be great. Apartment Therapy Chicago | Roundup: Vintage Clocks |

I have the Eva Zeisel dishes and love them, they look great with all of our other midcentury items. They seem to be holding up really well my husband is also a klutz but I am the only one that has broken a small plate from dropping it. The other thing to note is that if you have other white items like a table they will look very off white, my client gave me their old Saarinen Tulip table in white and the dishes don't look great but I'm not going to get rid of the table or the dishes. I am responding to rstrtz question about a sofa that is modern / semi-midcentury. I am actually selling my practically brand new Bo-Concept Quattro sofa that looks great with modern and mid century items. Check out my craigslist post if you are interested it is really comfortable and built much better than most of the other furniture lines. If you guys know of anyone else looking for a sofa like this share the link....I am asking almost 1/2 of what I paid and will consider other offers. I have the new back painted glass jenn-air white appliances and I think they would look great with stainless steel mixed in especially if the pulls all look the same or you have white cabinets. Go for it why does it always have to be for resale or match get creative especially if you love what you have you'll be happy! Now that it is garden season, does anyone have a good resource for inspiration and ideas for small gardens? Our front "yard" is only 8' x 8' and I would like to plant perennials and some annuals but I'm looking for something a little more interesting. Open Thread 422 |
