do any of you people that live in NYC go dumpster diving for your food? I hear this is the new craze up there...people reduce their grocery bills and curb the waste of what local bakeries and grocery stores throw out. Seems pretty gross to me to dig anything much less food out of a dumpster...but hey, to each their own. seems to work for people trying to stay on a budget. i've been trying to figure out the best cleaning option for my glass shower. Mine is huge and has glass on two sides in the bathroom so its quite a task to keep it looking nice for guests and company. I had thought about putting up some sorta fabric cute curtain around the two sides...but i'm perplexed if this would look terrible and how it would work in opening my shower door. anyone done this? Why on earth is it that every time I see a home/condo space in NY by anyone over the age of 40 that it looks like a flashback to the 70s or 80s? This is f'in terrible. It's like when that silly show Real Housewives of NY aired....all those women supposedly had money but their style and taste in their homes was atrocious. I see a lot of spaces in NY on various shows and in magazines that are really great...but 9 times out of 10 its a younger couple. If you're 40 and living in NY, it seems everything is laced in gold and gaudy in your home if you have money. What was that other show on E!...Gasteneau Girls....dear lord their place was trashy shabby. It was so terrible I couldn't watch it. i'm not a serious person...I just would rather not subject myself to enjoying a good book inside my home amongst eco-friendly snap on fabrics like a homeless person but instead be outdoors amongst nature and lying in my hammock. I just don't get it. I can totally maybe seeing this useful for a child's play room but why on earth would an rational adult use this junk as the pictures above show for reading or a getaway? it's just absurd....not to mention I don't even wanna know how much they charge for this stuff. i'm not 5 years old so maybe I don't get it....i'm not so much offended as baffled why she chooses to paint the black people in her paintings as if it were the early 1900s in a minstrel show though. has anyone figured out what language this junk is in? ok so i just looked at her website...she's from Copenhagen yet most of her art work looks like she lives in the heart of an african safari. i imagine the black people in her picture that you think look like monkeys...are supposed to be african tribesman or local african village people...yet it comes off as somewhere between a sea monkey and an old minstrel show. how tacky. how much is she selling these for? i just don't understand this whole chalkboard paint fettish. I can understand if you're a teenager or putting it in a dorm or college kids apartment but why would you ruin the walls of your home by slapping up chalkboard paint...even more so...why subject yourself to the nasty filth of having chalk dust everywhere? i like the bird magnet...but that's probably the only thing i would buy in this store. the colors are cool but its a little juvenille for a grownups home. Apartment Therapy New York | Pylones: Unique and Funky Designs for your Home Updated Post |

looks all cool and modern, but i doubt i would want to have this in my bathroom. the lighting in there would be terrible for putting my makeup on in the morning. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Roundup: Black Bathrooms |

i don't really get how the other pictures have anything to do with the first? The tables pushed together that aren't alike...not a fan. I like the other two tables and chairs. However that comforter/bedspread on the last pic...it looks like someone went into the room and threw up all over the bed. I hate it. Where are the white chairs from in the first picture? I really like those. I also like the red chairs too. I have an old round wood table that I want to keep and use but the chairs are just terrible. Those white chairs would be perfect to dress up an old round table. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Flickr Find: Mismatched Dining Room Tables |
