Stock and bones for making more stock
Peas and corn for quick vegetables
Ginger, since I can't use up any sort of quantity while it's fresh (just grate from frozen)
Blueberries and apples
Leftover stews, soups and chili

Ice cream is so important that it's considered a "super-essential."

My first thought (before I read the whole post) was window film. A magnetic curtain rod is also a good idea. My MIL has curtains on her back doors. She put one rod at the top of each curtain and another at the bottom to prevent the curtains from blowing around and getting in her way.

I just started working an opposite schedule from my husband, so I'm eating lunch alone at our house most days.

I've never minded eating alone at my desk during the workday or anything like that, but this is kinda lonely. I think it's because I'm also alone before and after the meal.

I'm on a rotation between tv, music and books.

I'm moving in about a month, and we're planning on staying in a house owned by a friend for no more than four months. So, while moving once is stressful enough, I'm thinking about how I'll be moving twice within the next six months.

If you have a local Lions Club, they may have collection boxes for eyeglasses, or you can give them to a member. You can also mail to the club's HQ.

A lot of women's shelters or homeless shelters like to receive those trial-sized soaps and shampoos (but it's always good to make sure before you donate).

All the animal shelters I know of ask for donations of old towels and blankets, and they prefer ones that are so torn up a thrift store wouldn't want them.

This whole "moving week" thing is so timely...I'm moving in five weeks. Currently, most of my really close friends live 3+ hours away. Thankfully, when I moved to where I'm living now, a college friend happened to move to the same town.

We live in a rural area now and are moving to a large city, so I'm hopeful that I will find some friends. I've thought about joining the Y so I could maybe make friends in an exercise class?

This list is definitely missing any sort of oven supplies. Need a cookie sheet and a 9 x 13 glass or ceramic baking dish.

Also, a cheese grater and measuring cup and spoons.

I always freeze my rosemary and thyme dry, but I love doing this for chopped basil. Makes it so easy to drop into a sauce!

I love this. Seriously. I may take a special interest since my parents are Penske agents :) If I ever move cross-country, I'll have to try on a small scale!

Velveeta mac-and-cheese, mixed with frozen green peas (obviously, not frozen at the time of consumption).

Also, I hardly ever crave any sort of Little Debbie in my daily life, but as soon as I see one at a friend's house...I MUST HAVE ONE. Especially those Christmas trees.
