I think the new site is absolutely lovely, and the structural changes you describe sound well-thought-out and easy to navigate. I can't wait to get more familiar with it; this has been my favorite cooking resource since I discovered it, and I think that will continue to be the case! Thank you and your staff very much for all the work that you do. Welcome to The Kitchn 3.0! |

Another husband, please. :o) I love the one I've got, but we have different tastes, and it would be great to be able to cook (& eat) w/ someone who shares my preferences and loves the food I cook. Dream Kitchens: What Would You Want TWO Of? | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

"I plan to start exercising again when my children go to college." -- Ha ha ha ha! No, I do it (er, exercise, that is) in the morning after my 10-month-old has eaten his morning bottle and fallen back asleep. I keep the lights off, try not to breathe too loudly, etc. It's kinda weird, but whatever works, right? Exercising at Home with Small Children Underfoot Survey | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |

Actually, I think it's kind of nice, or will be once it's sparkling. It looks efficient. (I sound like my mother ...) I like the sink! I'd go the opposite direction from all-white or all-off-white, and paint the little bit of walls either dark, velvety blue, or bunt/rust orange and use one or two deep blue or blue & white accessories (the lidded pot here? Or this gorgeous shower curtain? And of course great thick fluffy white towels, as soft and cuddly as you can get. Because no matter how great (or otherwise) the walls, tile, etc. looks, the towels'll be touching your skin every day. Rescuing This Rental's Bathroom? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy New York |

Gorgeous! Thanks for posting this. I especially love the microwave niche: the little shelf for the most-used cookbooks (I assume -- that's what I would put there, anyway), the red cabinet interior, the flip-up door ... If it is trim (or you can cut it into strips without it getting too scraggly), you could try using it as a stencil to make bold lace-silhouette stripes (sort of like this picture, but with lacy stripes instead of solid ones: http://decorno.blogspot.com/2009/12/4500-makeover.html) Making Lace Hip in the NurseryGood Questions | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |

Too true, msjessiemeghan. Especially the part about "Well, the *rest* of the house is yours!" Ha ha. Yes, the rest of the house is yours -- to keep clean enough to satisfy us both, to decorate in a way that makes both of us comfortable, and to keep company-ready for both our sets of friends/family. The rest of the house is your responsibility, not your sanctuary. Apartment Therapy Salutes Men Their Man Caves | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

darlingrose -- Just in case you come back this way, please think about adding more lighting to the room whether you decide to change the color or not. Perhaps a pair of sconces -- complimenting the original chandelier -- could go on one wall, add an art light over your artwork, maybe install a couple illuminated glass shelves in that (built in?) dresser's hutch ... I think that will go a loooong way toward making it feel less cave-like. Apartment Therapy Chicago | Good Questions: To Paint or Not to Paint? |
