I'm not sure I get this. The wallpaper tiles are magnets so you have to have a metal wall? What is a "pre-treated magnetic wall" (as mentioned in the post)? Is that a wall painted with magnetic paint? While it's cool, I'm not entirely sure this should be called "environmentally conscious". Sure it keeps those wallpaper strips out of the landfill, but is it "environmentally conscious" to create magnets or to paint walls with magnetic paint just to hang wallpaper on them?

For a site called APARTMENT therapy, I find this (and some other) post rather humorous. I don't know many folks living in an apartment with enough room in the bathroom for laundry. I certainly have not seen an apartment bathroom as large as any of the ones pictured above.

I don't have enough counter space but I would use this so often that I would give up the space for it! (Plus it would let me get rid of so many other appliances that it would be worth it.)

These look great but how long would they last? I can't imagine a radish wreath would hold together after a few days.

My mother always made spritz cookies (butter cookies from a cookie press). Just this weekend I made them myself for the first time. This is the epitome of my childhood Christmas!

I'd love it if these tips included some explanation of how they work. Why does putting a bucket of water in the room eliminate the paint smell?

The metal filter for my coffee maker never worked properly--I kept getting grounds in the pots so I made some simple reusable fabric filters out of muslin. They work just as well as paper ones. I rinse them after use and then once a week boil them all and/or soak them in an oxygen bleach to break up the coffee oils that accumulate. No waste!

I used to use unscented dryer sheets because I can't stand the perfume-y smell that lingers afterward. A few years ago I gave them up completely. I found no difference. There is no static in my laundry and my clothes are just as soft. (I use only soapnuts and the occasional oxygen cleaner; I don't use any softener.) If you think you *need* dryer sheets for softness or static control, try going a few weeks without it. You may not have the same results I did but you might find you don't need them at all.

Or you could just get a reusable filter and avoid the issue altogether.

Somehow I think it would take me longer to smooth out a t-shirt flat in order to use this method than it would take me to just folk the shirt as I already do. And, um, it's a t-shirt so it's not like it has to be prefect. As long as it fits in the drawer and isn't overly wrinkled that's good enough for me!

I made chocolate pasta once. The only thing I liked with it was to mix the cooked pasta with raspberry jam and whipped cream. Made a decent dessert but in the end I wound up tossing most of it as unusable.

I use one all the time! I freeze and refrigerate in glass jars and it's helpful to put mark the jar with the contents and date. It's also useful for when I'm putting non-edibles in the fridge (like soap-nut liquid) so I can label the jar "DO NOT DRINK".

I think the only way to improve these ugly accordion gates is to replace them. I have security gates on my bedroom windows that are white and open like doors. Yes, they still look like gates on the windows but they let in more light and feel less like jail!

I find unsweetened dried cranberries (and other fruit) at the Westerley Market bulk bins here in NYC. Try your local natural food market.

Etsy has some great inexpensive options for produce bags, snack/sandwich bags and cloth napkins. The bonus is they are handmade! (Full disclosure: I have an Etsy shop where I sell napkins and snack bags. I'm not certain I'd want to eat something that had been in contact with a balloon. They aren't (as far as I know) food safe. And we hear all sorts of warnings about what leaches out of plastics etc, particularly when they come in contact with heat.

I have a heavy duty, oven-safe stainless steel pan which I use for near everything. While I like the idea of cast iron, I've found they are just too heavy for me to manipulate. Be sure you have the wrist strength to maneuver a full cast iron pan before you invest in one!

As an Etsy seller I always want a customer to be satisfied with my items!

I did have one bad experience that was ultimately resolved in my favor. I ordered a print from a seller whose blog I also followed. In her blog she mentioned that she was working to find a new print shop and so print orders would be delayed. She was also in the process of buying the farm she'd been renting and so was understandably busy. I waited until 3 months had gone by with no direct contact from her. I wrote to her a number of times (both through the Etsy site and via her email) and still had no reply and no print. It was too late to apply for a refund through PayPal so I reported her to Etsy. Ultimately she sent me a note saying she would not be able to send the print and she refunded my money. Her shop has since been shut down by Etsy.

I've made my own crackers and they were great but they did not stay crisp for more than 2 days, even sealed up. It's a shame because if I'm going to go to the trouble, I'd rather make a big batch and save some. It's not worth the effort for me for a small batch.
