Ah - that would go perfectly in my red-and-robin's-egg-blue kitchen! But alas, this beauty would go well in ANY kitchen. Le sigh...

I do the typical sage/onion//celery/butter stuffing but I use large cubes of sourdough and pumpernickel. It really adds something to it.

I like to put greek salad with extra vinegary dressing and feta cheese in my potatoes.

(Once I had a greek salad with my "side" of potato salad - mustard vinaigrette style - hidden beneath it and I have never had anything so delicious. It was at Zoe's which is mainly East Coast and I live in California now...le sigh.)

leftover orange chicken and veg. I used Trader Joes orange chicken, a big pot of jasmine rice, and fresh carrots, broccoli and peas a few nights ago. I mixed it together in a glass jar - this keeps the rice moist and the veg from getting soggy - and brought it to work for eating over a few days. Yum!

I actually live in Brentwood and went to one of the 8 (or is it 9 this year?) cherry farms and if you don't hit the farm the very first weekend, forget about it. You can get Bing cherries all month long (the farms are still going strong as of last weekend) but the sour cherries grow in such limited amounts that the 2nd to last weekend in May is usually it for them. Unless you visit a farm stand that sells them (there are at least 6 in Brentwood, Byron & Knightsen).

We didn't get sour cherries this year either. We did get 16 pounds of Bing cherries though...

my husband sells at farmers' markets for a grass-fed ranch. He always recommends 1/2 per person and recently we had a small party with tri-tip and several side dishes as well as cheese and veggies etc as finger foods and were able to apply that. We barely had leftovers - of meat anyway.

I have given up on getting the exact same meal and always shoot for a remodel. I like to toss in some shredded parmesan and throw it in a semi-hot pan with a little olive oil. Or else I add olive oil and ricotta or top with mozzarella and throw it in the oven. I still get the same flavor in a crunchier or cheesier variation.

I love these crackers. It is one of the few things my husband and I can agree on, food-wise. The best thing about them is that they are soooo strong they almost cannot be eaten alone, so I am unlikely to get them out and snack on them.

On the weekends though, when we're outside and no one feels like a "lunchy" lunch, we get a few different cheeses - an asiago with rosemary, an irish aged white cheddar, and something soft and sweet - and eat these on a family-sized plate with fruit.

Like CentsInTheCity I luuurrrrrve the bruschetta. Seriously, I could eat it by the spoonful.

Also, their jarred pesto is pretty awesome. My kids love it. They beg me for pesto grilled cheese sandwiches instead of a "real dinner".

My husband is addicted to their orange chicken. I never liked orange chicken before I had theirs - pre-battered and you add the sauce AFTER you get it crispy, and its not as sweet as other orange chicken I have had.

Of course we also get cheeses, pasta, cookies, juices and dried fruits there too. But only while picking up the above three things : )

Our home is two-story and there's only one large room and the kitchen downstairs. After many missteps, we were able to halve the living room so that the half behind the largest couch is the "playroom". The little one is too small to be upstairs on her own. Our house rabbit's home is also in that area.

It's nice because we have an "adult" or family room and playroom without having to take our eyes of the little one.

Bunnies can be litter-trained but that is such a loose term with bunnies. It basically means they won't pee on the carpet and about 90% of their poop pellets will go in the box. Since your aim would be to have the bunny around you and free from its cage when you are home, you have to have a designated area safe from cords and with a litter box.

There is always a four foot space around her litterbox that our rabbit leaves poop pellets in. Every day, we have to pick them up, twice. She chews on books and magazines left around and I have headed her off from chewing the moulding more than once. There are also ALWAYS bits of hay strewn about.

I would not recommend a bunny for someone who likes their home a certain way, unless that person was absolutely a bunny lover and was willing to take on the inconvenience of the extra cleaning etc.

One little side note. LOTS of bunnies end up in shelters because they are cute little babies who can grow up to be destructive and can get mean or ill if not cared for properly or interacted with. They are social creatures and if you aren't home alot, its better to adopt a spayed/neutered bonded pair. White rabbits are the hardest for shelters to adopt out, and since they were originally bred as lab animals, it is in their genes to be handled alot (that's what we have).
